1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Coloring MP Soaps? Can I use paste or powder food colors? on: October 01, 2008 06:26:24 AM
I do a lot of cake decorating and already have tons of Paste and powder colors that I use. Is it ok to color MP soap base with those? I know I can't use water based ones, I was just curious if it would bleed or if there is a way to stop it from bleeding.  Also does anyone have any other ideas for coloring? I just don't want to go buy colors.

2  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / Tonks costume help....t-shirt..?? on: July 20, 2007 10:43:56 AM
So I'm going as Tonks tonight and need some advice....I have two different graphics for the weird sisters t-shirt I'm making to wear....

Which one is best? And on what color t-shirt???

Also my hair is long and dark brown so I can't really dye it or style it like Tonks so my only option was a wig....and this was the only one I could find.....

Do you think this will work ok?? I'm probably going to cut the longer pieces off...any tips to help style it differently?? Huh This will be my first time in a wig since elementary school!

I have a black version of this without the buttons and a tie instead:
or a long black trench coatish...but it has double breasted buttons? Which to wear??? or modify???

Also any other help with accesories or any ideas at all would be greatly appreciated!!

I've got a black choker...and a wand....black boots with grey tights...??
Thanks all!!! Grin
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Harry Potter Book Release costume help! on: July 13, 2007 09:07:22 AM
OK, so I'm planning on going as Tonks. I have long brown hair and brown eyes. I was planning on wearing a denim skirt with pleats with tights and black boots and a weird sisters t-shirt that I'm going to make.....with this jpg that I made.....does it look ok?authentic?

I was going to put it on a white t-shirt??? Does that seem right??
Also she normally has pink hair right?? Would it be ok to just get some of that spray and spray my hair pink or should I get a wig?? I'm also making a wand for my back pocket!

Anything else to help add to my costume? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 1st time making knit felt....bag is uneven... on: April 19, 2007 12:24:26 PM
I felted something for the first time last....its a small messenger bag that was knit up first....it took nearly 3 washes, but I finnally acheived the felted look....however when I took it out of the washer and began to stuff it so it could dry...I noticed that it seemed to felt a little lopsided. Like unevenly, leaving parts longer some places and shorter others??

Is there any way to fix it, or this just the way it goes?
