1  Stranded skull hat and plain ol' mittens in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: December 14, 2006 08:32:59 PM

I knit these up for my sister for her birthday this weekend. I cobbled together some leftover yarn, a skull chart and a basic hat/mitten pattern and this lovely set came out at the other end. My blog has a few more details. Thanks for taking a look!

2  Cable Twist Socks in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: December 06, 2006 09:03:57 AM

These babies knit from Hello Yarn's Cable Twist Sock pattern (http://www.helloyarn.com/cabletwistsocks.htm) are a Christmas present for my father-in-law. I'm starting to get sick of knitting for others.  Tongue

3  My So Called Scarves in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: December 01, 2006 06:58:46 AM
I knit a couple of My So Called Scarves (http://www.sheepinthecity.prettyposies.com/archives/000079.html) as Christmas presents for my sisters-in-law. I know there must be a thread on this somewhere, but I can't find it. I didn't change anything about the pattern and even used the recommended yarn (an unusual occurrence for me!)

More details on the blog.

4  Forecast! in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: November 29, 2006 09:00:14 AM
I didn't do anything differently with my version than the other versions that we've seen here, but I'm so pleased with it that I had to show it off. For those who haven't seen it before, it's Glampyre's Forecast from the Winter 2005 Knitty. I did a three stitch bobble, started the ribbing on the sleeves higher up on the arm, and lengthened the ribbing on the body.

5  Laura from Rowan's Big It Up in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: October 13, 2006 05:56:47 AM
Hi everyone! This is my second in a series of posts of everything I've finished in the last two months. I finished Laura from Rowan's Big It Up in September:

I misplaced the ball bands so I have no idea what the yarn is. I do know that I ended up knitting a size medium to accommodate the smaller gauge of the yarn - it was knit on 10 mm needles instead of 12. I'm really happy with the resulting fabric. It's sooooooo cosy!  For the full story, check out my blog.

6  Fair Isle Mittens (and my return to Craftster) in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: October 11, 2006 06:23:26 AM
Hey guys! I've been absent for a couple of months (I was sick of the internet for a while) but I finished a few things while I was gone. Check these babies out:

They're going to be a Christmas present for my mother-in-law-to-be. Details on my blog, of course. Thanks for looking!

Mod's note:  Blogger doesn't allow external linking.  Please see this blog post for pictures and details.

Edit: Oops, sorry guys. I guess the Blogger picture thing has changed since the last time I posted. I'll remember that for next time. But the pic is on my blog in case you're interested.

Edit again: I've uploaded the pics to the craftster pic hosting. Now everyone should be able to see the picture. Thanks for the compliments!

Good thing I didn't wait for anyone's advice  Grin

I seamed everything together, knit the neckband and button bands, sewed the buttons, THEN reknit the sleeve caps to my liking. Details and modifications are on my blog, of course.

9  Re: self-designed razor shell lace cami - with pattern in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: June 05, 2006 09:31:36 PM
Finished! This is a sorta lame pic but you get the idea...

I used Sirdar Snuggly 4 ply for the body, the trim, and the straps. I knit the straps the same length as called for in the pattern even though I knit them with the stretchier yarn and I added in one pattern repeat to fit a 36" bust. I love it - it's hot!

10  Knit n' Tonic Dream Swatch in Knitting: Completed Projects by maritimah on: May 25, 2006 06:43:13 PM
Nothing really groundbreaking here, just a super nice scarf/headwrap/belt thing made from the Dream Swatch pattern from the ever wonderful Knit and Tonic. I used a beautiful (and $$$) Fleece Artist 100% silk. It's now packed away in an envelope, ready to become the latest Mother's Day present ever!
