1  Slouchy Tam! Thanks to how_german for the pattern (: in Knitting: Completed Projects by LimePink on: September 13, 2009 02:49:20 PM
I made a hat (:
There were a few little mistakes along the way, (or maybe a lot) but I am still super proud of it.

Side view!

I look weird.

It took forever to finish, and only because I screwed up the decreasing section twice and eventually decided to do the end on circular needles instead of double pointed ones. And even so, my dad had to help me. (Yes, my dad knows how to knit, and is better than me. XD) I think I was just in a rush to finish it, but hey, it looks good now! (:
I was also pleasantly surprised that doing the knit three slip one was a lot easier than I expected when I saw the picture of the hat, having never done a slip stitch before.

2  Jordy Bag! But... it needs a little something. Ideas? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by LimePink on: August 29, 2009 04:21:36 PM
So, I came across an awesome tutorial by TheJordy and decided that I would try making a purse for myself. And... It wasn't a complete failure! (yay!)  Cheesy

I used some pretty thick fabric I have had lying around since forever and an old pink skull t-shirt that I decided I would probably never wear anymore.

So, here is the finished bag...

But the only problem is, I wanted to start off pretty basic seeing as I had no idea whether or not it would turn out. So lining aside, it looks kinda boring.

Bleeeeh. Boring.

Any ideas as to what I could do to make it a little more cute and interesting? Here was one of my ideas (the stuff isn't attached, its just kinda placed on top.) Alternate idea= a ribbon going all the way around the top with a little bow.

I was also thinking of doing some sort of stencilling? I have acryllic paints and fabric medium that I could use.. but I'm a little scared that it won't look good and I will ruin it. So yeah, any ideas would be great! Smiley

3  Big CSI shirt ---> Slightly less big strapless top thingy! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by LimePink on: March 23, 2008 04:36:03 PM
So, I got this CSI T-shirt from my cousin, and have been using it as a pajama shirt. (Note, it was actually even bigger. My brother got the same one a size smaller, and I forgot to take a picture of mine before I chopped it up =p)

And so I decided, why not turn it into a cool hoodie?

..Sadly, that failed miserably.

So I chopped it up even more and settled for making it into a sort of tube top/really short dress that would go well with leggings! (yay)

Im actually happy with how it turned out though. And now I'm all set to go investigate some crime scenes and not look like I'm wearing pajamas. (Well, if dead corpses didn't kind of gross me out.)
