1  CLOTHING / Costumes: Discussion and Questions / "Evil" Garb ideas? on: August 22, 2009 01:03:17 AM
I am trying to make renfest/larp type garb for the boyfriend... Accuracy is not important, can be fantasy, vaguely medieval or renaissance style...

His requests:
Looks Evil.
Nothing froofy (no fluffy shirts or lace)
no fabio-esque open chest

I've gone through pattern websites, but I think I need a "look" to work toward. Patterns can be altered to achieve it, I just need a starting point.

Inspire me?

2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Costume for three on: September 03, 2008 11:39:55 AM
My boyfriend wants to have a group costume with my girlfriend and I...I think the default is Human Slave trade, with him as a slaver and us as slavegirls (on chains!)
any other ideas, or additions to the slave idea?

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / balaclava/hood pattern please? on: January 18, 2006 05:30:13 PM
basically I want a pattern for a hood that is tight-fitting (won't fall down!)

something sort of like an adult sized version of these childrens balaclava hoods would work...

preferably using worsted, or better yet bulky yarn

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / help me with a knit pattern for some crocheted items! on: January 14, 2006 12:20:34 PM
ok besides needing to rave about the awesomeness of this chick, I am dying to knit two things on this site:

the bell sleeve lacy tie front thing (shrug?)

and the pretty pink sweater.

I realize these are crochet patterns...are there any similar knit ones out there?

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / BIG SCARF on: December 28, 2005 03:12:49 PM
I guess I just need some reassuring...I made a ku illusion scarf for my boyfriend and will give it to him on friday... but it is soooo long..I kind of forgot that its own weight would make it grow...I'm 5'3" and it comes past my knees...

He is much taller, and it should be wrapped round the neck which would shorten it anyway so it will be ok....right?

edited to add: this is the scarf https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=70214.0
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / BIG KU illusion scarf on: December 28, 2005 01:27:18 PM
I knitted this for my boyfriend for christmas...what do you think?

sorry for the crappy image...had to make it tiny to be able to upload it...

the scarf shortens to a reasonable length when wrapped around the neck...
