once I made a whole bouquet of can flowers for a girl for 8th grade promotion...purple and white are the school colors so I used grape soda and root beer cans.. This is for my boy's mom...she is a diet pepsi drinker...he has been kindly collecting cans for me....do you guys think I could sell these?

ok, here's my addition to the madness:

I did a small de-poof of the sleeves and I think I made them a bit longer...yes, that is a dragonfly brooch closing it...I love it! ignore my late-night-no-makeup ickiness

Using the piggy mobile monster pattern in snbn I altered it slightly to make the Evil Kitty Phone Cozy!!

I used felt for the eyes and nose. What do you guys think? (pardon the picture, it was taken on a webcam)

15  Re: Bright and lofty in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by weirdlilcraftychic on: January 08, 2005 01:29:55 PM

sorry about the lousy photo... if it doesn't work click here : https://www.craftster.org/pictures/showgallery.php?mcats=500&si=loftyhat&what=title&name=&when=&whenterm=

This is a hat I made using bright and lofty yarn (It was a rainbow colored variegated) that I, too, got as a gift (lofty conspiracy? Tongue). I followed this pattern: http://www.marthastewart.com/page.jhtml?type=content&id=channel181746&catid=cat356
but I used size 10 1/2 needles

It makes a chunky, fluffy, soft hat...I love it and have had several people request that I make them one.
