I'm so sorry I'm late in posting pictures and I feel awful about it. I had to have some emergency surgery and haven't been to the computer. But I did receive and LOVE it! Here's the much awaited pics that my super awesome partner made for me. Smiley
Super cute Phoenix feather necklace and Phoenix earrings.

Close up of the necklace.

Close up of the earrings.

Small Hogwarts Trunk. On the top it has Harry's address and Gryffindor crest.

Inside of the trunk with pics of his friends.

Yummy dried pineapple (which was promptly hid from Professor Slughorn) and Gryffindor colored tic tacs (my favs!)

A yummy smelling French Kiss Bubble Bar.

A Gryffindor painted box with the crest on the front.

Inside the box was a Swim Suit cover up with the Gryffindor crest on it. I think I'll not only use it for a cover up but also put a tank top under it and wear it as a dress.  Grin

And last but not least a super, super long and cute beaded necklace that I wrapped around a ton of times and it looks so cute!

THANK YOU! I love it all! You totally rock my craft world!

3  From Ratty to Rustic! in CHALLENGE 28 ENTRIES by BabyGirlBling on: June 03, 2008 06:08:26 PM
Growing up my Grandma had this chair that I always sat in and loved. Now that she's gone I wanted to be able to keep that memory alive HOWEVER....... The chair was SOOOOOOOOOOO ugly! So what's a crafty girl to do? Yep, Grab a pair of pliers, a staple gun and some super awesome leather-ish material and get to work!

I got the whole chair torn apart over a week in April. I saved all the peices so that I would have some sort of a pattern to follow later.

Sadly this is where my involvement with the chair ended.  Cry I had mega back surgery and my husband took over. I guess this was the best way to keep him entertained while taking care of me.  Cheesy

So he covered it with the material, stapled the heck out of it and hammered in a ton of awesome copper nails.

Now not only do I have an awesome "new" piece of furniture but I also feel as if she's still with me every morning while I enjoy my coffee.

4  Tote bag from Military Uniform shirts ~Lots of Pics~ in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by BabyGirlBling on: September 14, 2007 12:22:25 PM
I strated making purses using my husbands old Coast Guard uniform shirts for the fabric and I am in awe at how awesome they turned out! These are my first attempts in several years at making purses and I've never done it from anything other than regular fabric.

5  Simplicity 4581 With matching dress for my little one! :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by BabyGirlBling on: June 09, 2007 11:00:40 AM
I was trying to decide on what to wear for my husband's cousin's wedding so of course I was on Craftster's when I stumbled upon this awesome dress: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=154676.0

So of course I had to make one right away! I got the pattern on ebay for .99 and .99 in shipping and had it 3 days later. I went to JoAnns and got this gorgeous silky fabric and started sewing. It took FOREVER to cut out the peices because I decided to line the whole thing due to the fabric being a bit see thru.

This was my first time using piping and that's something I think I'll have to work on. Also this was my first ever zipper. Turns out the thought of putting a zipper in is alot scarier than actually doing it.

I'm very happy with how the dress turned out but not so happy with how I looked in it. My husband said I looked awesome and so did everyone else but I'm not too sure. (No I'm not fishing for compliments! lol)

To match my dress I made something similar for my 4 year old. I took her favorite dress that's similar in style and copied a pattern onto newspaper. Then I did the same basic thing as with my dress, Line, pipe, zipper etc.....

Please give me some feedback since this is the first thing I've made with a pattern..... I'm itching to do more but I wanted som expert opinions.

Thanks ya'll!

Me and my daughter near the end of the wedding. We were both pooped and ready for bed.

Ignore the goofy looking guy. lol! This is the best picture I have of the piping part.
