1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Rose teacosy on: May 16, 2012 01:32:31 PM

I just love teacosies! It was really fun making this one. The flowers used up a load of scraps from my stash of leftover yarn.
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Filet Crochet Rose Shawlette on: May 11, 2012 09:47:53 AM

I crocheted this little shawlette from a pattern in a Japanese craft book. It was a charted pattern , so not too hard to follow. The yarn is a silk/wool mix that I had in my stash.
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wrap from a single skein. on: May 08, 2012 05:11:49 AM

Knitted this from a single skein of gorgeous hand painted yarn that I got from a craft show. It was a one row lace pattern on 7mm needles. The yarn is lovely soft silk and mohair.
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Baby Deer Hat with antlers for a baby on: May 05, 2012 12:19:44 PM

This is a smaller version of the lovely Deer Hat by Tiny Owl Knits which I downloaded on Ravelry. I made it in a softer yarn so it will be comfortable for a baby. So cute!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pretty flower hat on: April 20, 2012 11:34:06 AM

I made this hat using the free pattern I found on Ravelry called the Ewa hat. Then I crocheted an assortment of flowers and arranged them on the brim. I love the way it turned out - really feminine and pretty.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Colourscape Cardigan on: March 09, 2012 12:55:52 AM

I made this cardigan out of Rowan Colourscape  which I got for an incredible price on sale - I could never afford it otherwise!  The gauge worked out perfect on an old Sirdar pattern that I had. I really love how it turned out.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Japanese Flower Motif Shawl on: March 09, 2012 12:44:38 AM

This shawl is made up from individual flower motifs which are joined together as you go.  It is from a Japanese pattern book.  I used Drops Delight which is a lovely 4ply yarn that comes in the most beautiful colours and is also really cheap. Japanese pattern books use just charts so it was fairly easy to work out.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / cosy cowl ponchon on: February 10, 2012 07:46:23 AM

Despite the endless rounds of knitting and minimal shaping that made this a bit of a boring project, I am truly glad to have knit this cosy poncho.  The yarn is Drops Alpaca Boucle which is incredibly light and soft as well as very warm.  I love the cowl neck. It is a bit cold to wear this out yet but I know it will get worn when the weather warms up a bit.
9  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Cloud shawl on: February 10, 2012 07:32:16 AM

I made this shawl from a Kim Hargreaves pattern called Cloud. It was really quick and easy and only took 3 balls of Kidsilk Aura mohair yarn. I like that it can be worn either as a shawl or a scarf
10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Kid Silk Cowl with rose on: February 10, 2012 07:27:11 AM

I made this cowl out of 2 balls of Drops Kid Silk doubled up and a 5.5mm crochet hook. Just chained until it was the length I wanted then joined into a loop and did rounds of double crochet mesh until I ran out of yarn. The rose is made from scraps of Debbie Bliss Angel.
