11  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Completed Projects / Hand-Dyed Trio - 1st Post of My Very Own! Image Heavy on: April 09, 2006 09:15:05 AM
So...I love to dye yarn.  It isn't hard.  It makes me feel like a kid...and you get to get your hands dirty (and stained if you aren't careful).  Anyway, the other night I was doing some dyeing and my hanks looked stunning.  I presented them to my color-blind boyfriend with a flourish.  He wasn't nearly peppey enough.  Pesky colorblindness.  I brought them to a knitting class I was teaching and after they all cooed satisfactorily I figured they might be worthy of Craftster - I have been on for a couple of weeks and haven't shown off anything of my own...Well, here goes.  I really hope you all like them...

This one I am calling Twilight.  It doesn't show up in these pictures, but if you look at it closely there are flecks of red and blue.

The next two are more exciting.  This one is called Water Lillies.

And, lastly, I present Sunset.

Here they are all together hanked up sitting outside in what is known as spring in Maine (but is probably considered winter like in the rest of the country).

Don't they look happy together?  Cheesy  I love that last shot.  Well, I hope someone out there likes them...thanks for looking (and maybe posting).
