1  Re: Beatlemania Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by VitaminPink on: August 05, 2007 04:54:46 PM
Here I was thinking I was all late to the posting party, but it seems it has yet to begin!
Anyway, I'm sorry I'm posting so late EOcrafter. Your box was really amazing! A shining light in an otherwise crappy week. Grin
Here's what I got!
My very own Paul! Not only that, but Paul at his hottest: the Yellow Submarine days!

Here is a close-up of his face, which is absolutely amazing:

A totally groovy knitted bag!

and last, but not least, a beautiful Beatles (more Paul!) charm bracelet, made with shrinky-dinks and glass beads.

Thanks so much, EOcrafter. Everything you made is totally far out.

2  Re: Dishalicious Dishcloth/Washcloth Swap Round 3 GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by VitaminPink on: July 21, 2007 09:13:32 AM
Hey! I got my package this week. It contained two lovely dishcloths (one knit, one crocheted) and a special surprise: some beautiful hand-made stitch markers! I was very happy to receive them, as I've just learned how to knit and only every used the crappy plastic variety.
Here's a pic:

Thanks so much, uknowuluvit!

3  Re: Felt Mascot or Little Stuffie Swap - R4 -- Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by VitaminPink on: July 19, 2007 07:30:29 PM
I got my package last week! It was sooooo worth the wait.
There was a wonderful elephant (Pachami), an adorable super cat (Kitty Catnip), and a nice journal that has a story about each of my new creatures. Here's a group shot:

And here's a close up of a the free-standing Pachami, who had earned a place of honor with my elephant collection!  Grin

Thank you so much, Luckie_Strike!

Everything looks so amazing! Too bad we can't get all the little guys together for one bitchin' Felt Mascot Class of 07' picture.
My partner is having camera trouble, so here's a pic of what I sent:

Levi the lamb and little Poe the raven. They are goth, if you can't tell. They enjoy walks on cloudy days and peanut butter sandwiches. Levi comes complete with real metal earings and accoutrements. Even though he is kind of a grump, I was sad to see him go Cry
Can't wait to get my stuffie!!

5  Goth lamb in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by VitaminPink on: June 16, 2007 08:25:43 AM
I made this little dude for a swap. I named him Levi, after a boy I loved in 3rd grade.

I added a lot of details, like real metal earrings. Here's a close up of his ears and embroidered face.

I like how he turned out, and was kinda sad to send him away. Cry

8  Twine is fine! in Crochet: Completed Projects by VitaminPink on: May 07, 2007 10:03:45 PM
I recently got an amazing crochet book called "Simple Crochet" by Erika Knight. In it, she uses a lot of unusual materials such as jute and twine. While none of these projects used her patterns, I was inspired to try crocheting with medium-weight kitchen twine. It makes a stiff, sturdy fabric that is great for things that need to stand up straight.
Lunch bag:

An envelope, used to "wrap" a gift certificate for a friend's b-day:

Small basket:

Best of all, twine is so cheap that all three projects cost less than $10 combined!

10  Pin cushion for mama in Completed Projects by VitaminPink on: October 08, 2006 10:47:37 AM
Mama-in-law, actually. I made it as a birthday gift! Her name is Sally, hence the "S". Hand sewn out of wool felt, with ploy-fill and poly-pellets inside.
