1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: My Country Doesn't Have That Round 11 on: May 15, 2008 03:18:13 PM
I'm in the Netherlands until early/mid July, depending on how busy I am with school... I might be up for another round. I'm all for the partner type swap, but ongoing is ok too.

I received a wonderful package from lucyvanpelt today, no photos yet though. The batteries went conveniently dead when I tried to take some, it will take a while to load them. The first time lucyvanpelt sent the package it got returned to her for no good reason and once she re-sent, it got here in under a week! Thank you, so much for the package!  Kiss

What a cute dress!

I'm starting to get a little worried about my package, I hope it hasn't gotten lost in the mail or stolen (I share a mailbox with 6 people) Sad

I'm glad you liked your package piaochong!
6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: "My Country/Region Doesn't Have That" Round 10 on: February 24, 2008 03:17:17 AM
Hi! I'm trillian, a Finnish student currently living it up in the Netherlands. I claim piaochong for stuff from the Netherlands/Europe. I've PM:d the organizer and been approved.

My wishlist

- Finnish/Scandinavian candy/stuff, occasionally I feel a little homesick so a bag of Turkin pippuri, Dumle or  Aarrearkku would be really great, I'd also love some Finnish bubblegum. And I've been craving Karelian Rice Pasties for weeks (= Karjalanpiirakka/Karelska piroger).

- American/Canadian stuff: a copy of BUST or some knitting/crochet magazine and some candy (anything with peanuts and or chocolate in them is fine!) A couple of packets of Pink Lemonade (my favorite flavor) Kool-Aid would be great.

- Mexico: anything to do with Dia de Los Muertos, a sugar scull mold

- ANY other country: surprise me! I love knitting and I'm starting to get into crochet. I love fashion magazines and of course knitting/crochet magazines. I'm not allergic to anything and I'm fairly open-minded towards trying new things. Stuff that is related to your country and a letter (to explain things) would be lovely. I love chocolate, especially chocolate paired with peanuts! My favorite colors are red, brown, purple, black, green and pink.
7  EUROPE / NETHERLANDS / Re: Bead stores in Amsterdam? Teaching Opportunities on: February 24, 2008 02:48:10 AM
I don't speak Dutch either, I'm only here for a few months (Erasmus student). But I did some googling and found two places that offer workshops, the sites are in dutch but I used http://babelfish.altavista.com/ to translate them.

You could email them and ask, wether the teachers would mind holding the workshop in English?

I received an awesome package from daemonwildcat today!

Sorry about the crappy photo, my camera died!
I got: A Vogue knitting magazine, a Harper's bazaar magazine, 2 skeins of very pretty yarn and lots of chocolate bars!

I claim electronicfly for fabric paint, chocolates and sweets and perhaps some artsy-fartsy stuff and jewellery, depending on what I can find. This is my first claim.

Im Anna from Finland, Central-Ostrobothnia to be exact... not that anyone knows where that is Smiley I'd love to receive from any country!

My wishlist:
- a copy of BUST magazine
- sweets and chocolate (anything peanut flavoured will be devoured upon arrival)
- day of the dead sugar skull mold
- knitting or crochet magazine
- yarn
- fashion magazine (with lot's of pictures, any language is fine)
- t-shirt or other apparel unique to your country
