1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Knit/Purl question on: June 25, 2008 08:21:15 PM
I started moving the yarn, and it's working like a charm! Thanks so much everybody Smiley
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knit/Purl question on: June 25, 2008 01:09:42 PM
So, I attempted to make a ribbed scarf, but found that, after perhaps 6 rows, the transition between the knitted and purled section had gotten disastrous. There somehow seemed to be extra loops around the needle - not extra stitches, exactly, but loops that created holes if dropped. I tried to just pass them along without adding to them, but that made the piece really tight and stiff.
I'm not sure how that happened, but I also couldn't figure out how to fix it. Does anyone have any tips for that nicky picky in-between part?

In the picture of your reading room, what are the ears coming out of the bookshelf attached to? A rabbit?

I am endlessly jealous of your house. It's adorable and oh-so-cozy looking...
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Another bra, you guys know the drill :) on: July 11, 2007 11:26:29 AM
Shocked Wow! This makes me excessively excited! I love nice bras, but am really cheap. And I have yet to find a "nude" bra that isn't hideous. Please post when the patterns are available Smiley

And please post a picture of your tattoo, it sounds lovely.

Can you give a tutorial for the splattery/vintage technique? I've always wanted to know how to do that.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Zines? on: May 27, 2007 08:59:13 AM
So it looks as though we have 6 interested people (including myself). How exciting!

Unfortunetly, it appears that I cannot organize this swap Sad I haven't participated in a swap before (not a big fan of themes). Would anyone be willing to organize? If I PMed the moderators, do you think they'd make an exception?

Cheesy Your zine sounds hilarious! I'd love an edition of that or something entirely new!
Is anyone else also interested?
9  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Zines? on: May 11, 2007 08:07:20 AM
Would anyone be interested in a zine swap?
Any zines would be rad, especially from newbies!

I'm a kind-of newbie, and have really wanted to make a personal zine for awhile - but I have no clue who to send it to!

Any takers?

Oooo what a good idea! And a lot easier than reconstructing a shirt (I would think)
