11  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2013 in The Swap Gallery by hawkeyes_girl on: March 27, 2013 05:03:45 PM
Abbeeroad and I swapped in the fall.....I am only now posting pics of my bounty. Eeep. I am the worst partner ever.

She, however, is amazing and awesome.

I didn't get shots of these awesome sewn leaf earrings in blue. She also made a wonderful tote bag that is tie dyed too. I also got a circle scarf she dyed green and magenta that I wear at least weekly!

A beautiful dyed wrap skirt

A beautiful sewn ornament

And a wonderful Teesha Moore-styled wallet that she claimed were made with dying mistakes. I see no errors!

Thank you so much and I'm so sorry it took me this long to post pics.

Wulf, that was a happy memory, I had a little wooden zoo as a child!

I love all of your packages for one reason or another!

I feel like I under-did the theme. But my partner did such a nice job!

Behold the impchild's work!

Altar cloth, egg pentacle wreath, decorated eggs, and sweets!

All of it on my altar

Thanks a bunch!

Here's stuff I sent:

Since impchild is a kitchen witch, I made a spring apron internally marked with fortune runes.

My eggy-themed: Ostara celebration booklet, jasmine incense and strawberry leaf herb, a candle and raspberry teas tucked into the hang-able eggs. I wrapped it in a green spell bag with a white ribbon.

For her son, a dinosaur hat and mini-egg sweets.

14  Re: Healthy Eating Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by hawkeyes_girl on: February 24, 2013 08:05:52 AM
A person who tries to eat the most micronutrient foods more than nutrient-less stuff. Dr. Joel Fuhrman wrote "Eat to Live" and it's based on his info.

It encourages low fat and high amounts of produce over other foods. It's working for my intestinal tract pretty well. I'm getting a LOT more fiber than before.

Example of how you are supposed to eat on his plan:

My wonderful haul! It was a steampunk-informed kit. I requested something related to medical and herbal care as I am interested in herbal medicine.

The whole shebang! A bustier, kit box and leather cuff!

The box up close:

The bite-proof cuff in case of zed attacks:

I got SO many compliments on it today!

Inside the box:
2 different teas in jars, a brooch, organic heirloom seeds for many different plants, steampunk rub-ons for crafts, a notebook, alcohol and cotton balls, herbs, first aid instructions, and decorative cogs.

And my fave item, a compass made in Pittsburgh! (did you see that when you sent it?). It's brass and beautiful! Is it a nautical compass?

My photos are terrible, forgive me. It is a great fall colored package! LOVE!

The card, a bunting that is gorgeous!

A bag of candy, a Samhain tile, and a triquetra tile too! It that sculpey?

And a wonderful fall infinity scarf that has black background with trees and leaves! I can't wait to wear it!

Thank you so very much!

I hope to update and give feedback this weekend!

I only got a "hair shot" that shows me in what I consider a Lot of makeup! lol! Couldn't get victory rolls going, so went for the next best thing I could manage!

I had an all-black dress that looked a lot like this one:

(Note the matching black pearls and earrings. I was way too pleased with myself. )  Grin
I also kept playing the Monster Mash a dozen times. I had too much fun.

I also came home and actually did ritual ON a Sabbat. Double win. Best holiday I've had in awhile. Hope all of you had the same.
