1  Re: Questions About Hairstyles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by sugarpumpkin on: April 20, 2011 01:54:04 PM
First of all, let me say you are all so inspiring!!

I was hoping I could get some advice!

I wanted to change my hair a bit (and it really needs to be dyed! roots are almost 6"!)

I want to keep it mostly blonde but wanted to add some sort of highlights or something.
I am going to keep it long and will likely do something with brown as opposed to red (since I am always bad with the upkeep!)

Thats me about a month ago! Any suggestions?

I was thinking of going with this haircut but don't want to do the red (for reasons mentioned above):

I have a "corporate" job so I can't get too crazy.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks so much you lovely craftsters!

2  Re: Big Project stitch-along 2010 in Needlework: Stitchalongs by sugarpumpkin on: November 04, 2010 10:34:01 AM
All I can say is WOW!!! There are a HUGE bunch of talented people on this thread!

I just found this. Just got back into cross stitch after a few years off.

Thought this might give me the motivation I need to continue working on the project I just started and get it finished so I can start another!

Only have about 3 hours work so not really worth posting work photo yet but I am working on Jewels of the Orient. I hope to work on all the Geishas in the Gold Collection! They are all so beautiful!

3  18th Century Duchess in Halloween Costumes by sugarpumpkin on: November 03, 2009 10:04:05 AM
Hello Everyone!

I am really excited about this costume. Of course I made it and of course no one believed me.
It took me about 3 nights and one full day from start to finish. I also made my necklace.
I wish there was a better picture of my hair but it was really pretty and big and curly.

I won 1st place in our costume contest at work!

Without further adieu, here are the pics Smiley

Comments and Crits totally welcome!

5  First COMPLETED knitting project in Knitting: Completed Projects by sugarpumpkin on: February 10, 2008 04:03:54 PM
So here it is, in all its glory, my first COMPLETED knitting project.

I put the completed in caps because Im notorious for starting projects and never finishing them.

Here is my elephant hat. I love elephants and I love the colors too. This is a HIGHLY modified pattern made from two patterns combined (ok i didnt word that right)

Without further ado...my hat:

6  My Durango Hat in Crochet: Completed Projects by sugarpumpkin on: February 10, 2008 04:01:48 PM
So I was surfing ravelry (like I do everyday), and I came upon the Durango Hat pattern. It looked really cute and I figure I cant get enough hats, so I made it. Took me about 4 hours to make. Very quick crochet pattern.

Here it is:

Sorry for the crappy picture, but thats what happens when you want to take one and no one is around to help you (and you dont know how to work the timer haha).

I was surfing this KAL and was so inspired to try to double knit.

I never start easy..Ive never done intarsia before and am a basic knitter...actually I've never fully completed a project haha

I get distracted easily by trying new things..but here what I have so far:

Im working on the Dead Kitty Scarf from here: http://sucka-sc.arlette.us/2006/11/19/free-chart-dead-kitty

8  My Take on the Hobo Mitts in Crochet: Completed Projects by sugarpumpkin on: November 14, 2006 07:57:18 AM
After seeing the post by umbrellamaker and seeing her tutorial ( https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=73781.0 ) I thought I'd give it a try since one of my friends asked me to make her a hat, mitten, and scarf set.
Here are the pictures:

I found that the top mitten part was a little big, so I folded it a bit and sealed it up with some fancy buttons. I really like the way they turned out!

Thank you umbrellamaker for your tutorial!

***UPDATE***: She loves them!! I'll try to get a picture of her in the whole set

Hi Everyone!
This is my first post in the Crochet forum!
I made this hat yesterday and I call it my rainbow sherbet hat because the colours remind me of rainbow sherbet  Grin

10  Red Velvet in Beads: Completed Projects by sugarpumpkin on: October 17, 2006 05:55:49 PM
This is a stunning addition to an evening wear outfit. Perfect colour for the holidays. Althought im sure it would look just as good in other colours. Freshwater pearls, Swarovski crystals and gold accents. This was hard to part with but I do hope to be making more.

Also...Comments and Crits wanted and welcome!
