23  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / What is on your grocery list? on: September 30, 2007 09:13:00 PM
My dad is always at a loss when it comes to getting food for me, and so am I. I haven't eaten meat for 4yrs but I am still terribly uncreative in the kitchen.

So I was wondering what all you vegheads keep as your kitchen staples.

I am not vegan but I am trying to give up eggs and dairy (I have already given up milk)
24  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Van Gogh makes everything better on: September 29, 2007 02:57:28 PM
I found this clock for $1.50 at the thrift store.

I knew I wanted to use a Van Gogh painting but I wasn't sure which one would look best. So I looked on google and I was inspired to use one of his best paintings, "First Steps"  With a little spraypaint, and my printer I recreated this $17 clock for $1.50

You can never have too many van goghs

26  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Craft The Vote! / Ron Paul on: September 28, 2007 09:33:18 PM
I really don't like any of the main canidates so I would like to promote the lesser known republican Ron Paul.

Aside from signs and maybe a t-shirt does anyone have any ideas?
27  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / a recipe from lisafrank.com on: September 28, 2007 08:51:00 PM
For nostalgic reasons I visited lisafrank only to find a tasting sounding recipe for

Fruit Cabobs

Ingredients needed:
Pineapple Chunks (canned or fresh)
Smooth Style yogurt (Plain or flavored)
Green & red grapes
Coconut (shredded)
Skewers, Bananas & Apples.

1. With adult supervision, cut the bananas and apples into wedges.
2. Place coconut onto a plate. 3. Slide pieces of fruit onto the skewers.
4. Roll the kabobs in the yogurt and then into the coconut shreds.

When you are done with your soup/ramon pour the leftover broth into ice cube trays. My dogs can't get enough of them.
29  GLASS CRAFTS / Glass Crafts: Discussion and Questions / what do I do with these glass shards? on: September 07, 2007 06:25:34 PM
I was picking up some bits of glass from a broken window when I remember the Craftster motto "keep everything"

I have never worked with glass so I don't know what I can do, but I am sure someone here must know.

I have about a handful of glass bits that range from 2 inches long to about half an inch long.
