11  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 25 ENTRIES / Stuffed Pink cuffs From AZ on: March 05, 2008 12:21:21 AM
For those of you that don't know Maricopa county (arizona) is home to the self proclaimed "world's toughest sheriff"

He is known for many things ( http://www.snopes.com/politics/crime/arpaio.asp ) But one of the most recent things that has put us on the map are his newly issued Pink Handcuffs. Yes you heard me, Pink Handcuffs. He says that they will prevent handcuff thefts Roll Eyes But I think he just has a thing for pink. First it was pink underwear, then it was pink undershirts, now Handcuffs.

12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Caution Bike on: March 04, 2008 01:00:42 PM
Brand new (used) bike + large roll of caution tape = coolest bike ever!

I got a cool bike, but like many I don't want it to get stolen. Every bike I have ever had was stolen at one point and this time I say no more.
I say if you want to steal my bike, you are going to have to spend hours unwrapping layers of caution and clear packing tape. Grin Make them bicycle thieves work for their money.

I will edit this eventually when I can get some better pictures, till then you can kinda make out what my bike looks like through the grainy pixels.

I just got a square loom and I am dying to try it out but I can't seem to find any instructions  Undecided  It is an adjustable one and I am not sure how big it gets when you put it all together.

It is a plastic loom it that matters at all.

15  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / do I need a co-organizer? on: January 23, 2008 04:00:35 PM
Do I need to have a co-organizer for 26 people? I know the limit is 25, but I don't think one person warrants another organizer.

So you like to make little stuffies? This is a very simple swap, you will make one stuffed creation for your swap partner. It can be an animal, a person, or even a plant. You can make a stuffie based off of your partners likes, or you can both choose to send a supprise stuffie to each other.  The stuffies can be felted, sewn, knitted or crocheted.  The stuffies should be as big as your fist but smaller than a bread box... Of course this is a suggestion, if you and your partner decide to make some micro-mini stuffies or some rather large ones that is fine as well.

18  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Kitty Harness on: December 20, 2007 09:40:05 PM
My parents have always hated cats, and refused to believe that they make good pets... Well that all changed when we found an 8week old kitten in our backyard. It was raining and the dogs were barking incessantly at him, scaring him half to death so he a sad sight when I found him. So of course we brought him in, dried him off and gave him some kitten food (which I allready have for my ferret).  It really didn't take long for my parents to decide that we were keeping him. I honestly think it was pity more than anything since he was so small, cute, friendly, and looked like he hadn't eaten in weeks.

He is getting rather big (couple pounds now) and he needed a harness so he could be taken for walks and what not... Well amazingly enough the old ferret harness I had fit him quite well, the only problem was that the nylon was too thick and too stiff. Well now I could just buy him a new harness and hope it is comfortable, or I could do the craftster thing and make him a comfy one myself.

So I dug through my fabric stash and found a cute baby blue shirt and began sewing... using the parts from the ferret harness of course.

I did forget one thing though, a bell.  He isn't allowed full run of the house because of how small he is, and since gaining weight he has been able to jump over any baby gate and get into everything he shouldn't... If anyone knows how to keep a cat from going behind the fridge I would love to know.

After much frustration, and lost jewelry I decided it was time to organize my jewelry (or at lease some of them)

It isn't incredibly sturdy, but man it looks cool!
