My boyfriend got me a couple canvasses for my birthday and I was so scared to paint because I didn't think it would be good enough to put on canvas... So I sucked it up, and said I was just going to pick up a brush and let it be what it would be.

I was trying to paint a simple cherry blossom vine for my mom... but then the paint brush just took over.

38  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Critter holder - for a ferret? Help! (Also: Vogue 8015) on: May 04, 2008 11:11:17 PM
My ferret hated all of the normal carriers, but for some reason loves being in a purse (hammock like?)  So I whipped up this hobo-esque bag that she loves. She goes nuts if she can't stick her head out so It is a good idea to strap them in by their harness if you can.  But a comfy bag is great for walks or short trips.

How did you get that circular record look?
40  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects / Re: Goldfish need crafty love too! on: April 25, 2008 12:58:01 AM
If you have a saw, a wooden lid wouldn't be very hard to make.. or course that won't help with the light.

Congrats on getting them a bigger tank though. Goldfish are big polluters and need a lot of room to... not die.

I only have a couple suggestions for you.

1. you should try to find a better filter (they really are big polluters)
2. if you need some natural looking gravel home depot sell large bags of pebbles for less than $5 (it was enough for my 50gal)
3. If you wanna be crafty get some aquarium sealant, some rocks, and make a bunch of little caves for your fishys... and if you want to make some decor yourself just grab some clay at the craft store and get it fired up at your local pottery store.

Also, if you are really ambitious http://www.cichlid-forum.com/articles/diy_aquarium_background.php
