2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: My Inspector Gadget / Built By Wendy Coat on: October 11, 2006 11:22:03 AM
I agree... It came out fabulous! Great job! I started mine on Sunday. I've started the sewing and it's very satisfying to see it start to come together. Mine is also a canvas... Almost the same green colour as the one on the pattern with wooden buttons. I'll post when I'm done too.

5  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: NEW s n' b book to be out late fall! on: November 09, 2004 05:29:09 PM
I just got it today. The new patterns kick the original one's ass. you guys will want to knit everything in it. nothing sux. if you live in CT, i managed to get it at BN Farmington by West Farms.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Ridiculously easy mary-jane slippers! (with pattern) on: September 16, 2004 12:01:37 PM
your pattern is delicious. i had to make these. I used cheapo Bernat "Softee Chunky" with cheap little heart buttons. yay Walmart.
7  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Re: fluffy cuff mittens on: August 13, 2004 06:47:45 PM
I was thinking the same thing when i was making mine, but they turn out perfect! you can flip the cuffs up if you want them even shorter. good luck!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / magic wallet? on: June 06, 2004 04:29:01 PM
Has anyone ever attempted to make one of these? They're so neat, but I have a hard time (like all craftsters) to shell out  money for something I could make.

9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re:Yarn for Grace on: May 04, 2004 08:28:05 PM
I've started GRACE....I finished the back and half of the lower front...I'm using cheapo Walmart Yarn....I think it's Caron simply soft....i'm getting the gauge on size 7 needles. so far so good. I let you know how it comes out, you never can tell if it'll work until the end.

Just wanted to let y'all know that I found Cascade Fixation which is 1.7% lycra and 98.3% cotton, same gauge as the classic elite star at www.helloknitty.com for $4.50 , free shipping (limited time) for U.S., Pretty good price I think. Good color selection too.
I'll let you know how the swatch test goes once I get this stuff.

Also wanted to know, to those who have completed the suit, is there a lot of the 2nd MC skein left over, or  is 2 skeins just enough?
