Thank you! Smiley  I didn't have nearly the same amount of energy *this* year at Christmas, so everyone got bath salts in jars that just had a holiday sticker on the lid.  Wink

Great thread and great ideas everyone.  Smiley

The Damned: Phantasmagoria

I'd always shied away from this type of cd in the past because I thought - they can't really be scary.  But this year I got one and some tracks really did raise the hair on the back of my neck:
Darklore Manor

or try having the midi version of the theme from the original Halloween on continuous play for several hours. That will be insanity inducing.  Wink

You should also be able to get cheesecloth at the grocery store this time of year in the area with stuff for Thanksgiving.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Re: Pulling my hair out over Potted Tomatos on: September 26, 2007 07:30:57 AM
I don't have an answer but had the exact same problem this year.  I injured my knee and wasn't able to dig so put tomatoes in container pots instead.  Last year they were in the ground and we had tomatoes all the way until December.  This year just a few of them and they didn't taste all that great.  Like you I have peppers in pots in the same location that are doing great.  Maybe the tomatoes are pouting in their pots.  Smiley   All I can offer is my gardening motto "Oh well maybe next year!"  Wink
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Re: Volcano soap!! on: September 07, 2007 08:08:12 AM
I thought you meant you had made soap in the shape of a volcano.  I don't have an answer to your question, but do want to thank you for the idea.  Smiley

Thanks everyone!  Smiley

On the topic of jars, I found that Ball has made some nicer jars with silver colored lids:

You don't have to cover the ball logo that is on the gold colored lids.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: wristy crochet on: August 16, 2007 08:05:35 AM
Those are great!  I especially like the browns and black one.  Looking at them made my brain feel creative in a new way.  Thank you!  Smiley
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Larger size metal crochet hooks on: August 09, 2007 08:27:07 AM
I don't know about metal ones but I love my giant Jenkins wooden crochet hook.  I have the 25 mm one.

Don't know what it would take to snap that but wouldn't want to find out.  Wink
9  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: amigurumi sea life on: July 10, 2007 08:26:15 AM
I love the vibrant contrast of the frills on the fish.  Thanks for taking the time to post the patterns too.
10  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Insert Witty Lovecraft Reference Here on: July 10, 2007 08:23:35 AM
I wonder if Lovecraft himself ever imagined his creation would appear in finger-puppet form?  Probably not.  Wink

Fun idea and nicely executed.  Smiley
