These are just so gorgeous! I wish I could smell them.  Grin

How much does a whole cake weigh, if you don't mind me asking?
2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Re: cute maternity shirt sayings?? on: May 20, 2007 01:05:47 PM
I saw one with "Don't touch the bump" in big letters.

That inspired me to think of a new one...
"My lovely lady hump" (hope you get the reference!)

No, wait! That should be, "My lovely baby hump!"

I saw a shirt saying that about a week ago!
3  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: slip cover for an over stuffed chair. on: September 17, 2006 03:09:03 AM
I would start with getting a book first. Simply Slipcovers is a pretty good one to start with. Or you could look around places like Walmart or JoAnn's for some patterns. I know McCall's has a pattern and I think Butterick does, too.

Here's what HGTV says about creating a custom slipcover:

  • First, create the pattern pieces by tracing the outline of all planes of the chair (or other furnishing) onto muslin or other lightweight fabric.
  • Next, cut out the patterns and pin them onto the upholstery fabric. Then, carefully cut out each piece, allowing an extra half-inch around the edges for seams
  • Finally, sew the pieces together to complete the slipcover.

I hope this helps a little bit!

Santa-Cali-Gon back in Independence, MO. Happens every September. I really miss going to it. It's a huge celebration back home, but mom said it was knocked down to only 4 blocks last year.

It was a small craft fair, but it got us out of the house.

I'd never been to a craft fair before, so I thought it was big. Heh.  I guess I got something to look forward to in the possibility of moving to a larger town...

I'm used to going to ones that are about 10 blocks big.

And what was up with all the emu stuff?  I saw a few stands with emu oil stuff.  Strange.

I have no idea there were like 4 stands with it on Saturday.

I bought some of that blueberry bread, too. It is amazing. I also ended up getting a candle that smells like Candy Corn for M. It was a small craft fair, but it got us out of the house.

Did anybody else go to the The Big One over the weekend? We went and bought a few things from local crafters. Just wondering if any of you sold anything there.

I'm in Minot, too! Hubby is AF and we live off base. I have been desperately trying to get my soap and candles together enough to sale them, but the job has been cutting in to my craft time.

Here's two of the soaps that I made yesterday. They're Goat's Milk MP. The one in the front is scented Vanilla Cream and the one in the back is Choclate Drizzle. Sorry about the bad pic.  Roll Eyes

Sounds like wonderful scents. If you don't mind me asking where did you find them at?
