so, i have been severely neglecting my craftster, but i'm back! and i have a couple of people to show you! this is buttony bernice, thus named for the vintage buttons that kind of flow down her lovely sculpey towel. her is a lovely shot of the buttons (seen on the upper left side of her head) and of her fabric boobs (also with buttons).

she is made from rescued fabric and stuffed with polyfill. she hangs by a fabric hook that i reinforced with interfacing and about 3 million stitches.

bernice's hands and head are sculpey 3 with a wire armature in the head. the thing tied around her hand is her certificate of 'birth,' printed on that amazing inkjet shrinky dink paper!

i am digging her, what do you think?

oh and here is another lady, hilda, that i made that i am going to put in this post too as soon as i get pics of her!

i'm a huge fan of winmill. the staff is insanely nice and has been so consistently so i started sewing last year, asking them millions of questions. the fabric tends to be a little pricey but the advice makes up for it. also...the dollar sale patterns rock and the thread/notions selection is great for a non-joanns/michaels, family owned single-store place. i love it!
