11  wicca flags in Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects by Tanza on: June 20, 2011 04:21:55 AM
I digitised these design based loosely around a set that a swap partner had on her wist.

I really like the designs but would never use them for myself. I would for a swap partner though cause they look great.

I tried to correspond each color with the design and the backing.

some close ups

the back

14  Re: Fake Swapping Craft-along (ongoing) in Craftalongs by Tanza on: May 12, 2011 05:49:11 PM
I finished my frugal swap-a-long
here are the photos.
firstly I went over and cleaned out the garden and got it ready then planted it for my partner.
after and we found these little lemon trees growing so I potted them off so I can culture them into big lemon trees you can see the onions growing at the back in a pot too.
next I remade a long sleeved tee into, it was suppose to be a shirt but ended up a dress.

and a link to the new thread for her angel statue which came out great.

Glad I did this now to find something else to join.....

15  Angel protection in Completed Projects by Tanza on: May 12, 2011 05:47:57 PM
I was inspired by the weeping angels that people made on here but I wanted a male angel.
here he is.

before he was started he looked like this.

He ended up like this

He is standing in a rock made from salt dough, and his shield is made from it also. BUT his sword broke so I asked mast.14 to design me one on a piece of timber, I think it looks awesome. I cut it out with a hacksaw and then used the bench grinder to neaten it up.
The whole piece was them sprayed with primer to look like stone.

I am very happy with the way it came together, it took 3 weeks all up as the salt clay took forever to dry.
I am making another one with a max steal doll this time.

I just received an awesome package from the most fabulous sophieangele....

fear not my friend it made it in tack, although I do think it went for a tour before it arrived. Cheesy

here is the full shot

you can see the extra's headbands exactly what I was wanting and a pattern from my wist.
Can't wait to give it a go.

my medium personalised to add the Raven instead of the swallow, AND it fits perfectly onto my cranberry wall. Hubby has promised to hang it later today more photos to follow.

I almost cried when I saw this, I wrote in my info that blue willow pattern always reminds me of my Gran.....and this is so fabulously stitched that I have had to take a ton of pictured to show off your awesomely mad skills.
This too is going in a place of honor on my cranberry wall.....I must say that even hubby ( who is hard to impress) is awed by these to fabulous pieces of work and how perfectly they suit the wall.

Now I have to confess I had a moment of madness when I first got this parcel, I LOVE NCIS and Ziva would have to be one of my fav people on the show......and yup she comes from Israel.........yep that's the way my silly mind works and I got some awesome stickers too.

SO THANK YOU so much for one of the best ever packages I have ever received.
I feel honored that you were my partner.

18  Perfect birthday Pavlova in Dessert by Tanza on: January 27, 2011 02:07:30 AM
This was the first time I have made my own Pav.
I mean I cook just about everything and I adore Pav but this is the first time I have made my own.....it certainly won't be the last

First make your pav.

take 4 egg whites and beat till soft peak form.
gradualy add in, whilst beating, 1 cup castor sugar, make sure you do it slowly.
after about 10 - 15 mins rub a little mixture with your finger tips to see if the sugar has disolved.
Now fold in 1/2 tablespoon of cornflour and 1 teaspoon of white vinegar
The important thing here is to taste it and make sure it is good, but beware you may loose half you mixture as you continue to check the quality of the mixture.
place some greaseproof paper on a biscuit tray and damp it down, then spoon you mixture onto this in a circle shape. keep piling it up it will sit on top of itself quiet well.
bake at 120 o celcius for 2 hours till nice and cruchny on the out side.
turn off oven and leave the tray in there over night.
next day

take the following ingredients

whipping cream, add vanilla topping ( or powder sugar and vanilla extract)
beat that baby till it forms soft peaks.

now spread it on top of your pav

next cut up your fav fruits

and arrange them on top of the cream.

and now you have the finished product, eat and enjoy.

19  GIFT TAGS in Winter Holidays by Tanza on: November 30, 2010 04:36:06 AM
I made some personalised gift tags.

You could use them for birthdays too.

or add some clip art and make them more christmasy.
I used word and made a set of labels, add a photo and some text.Print them out on normal paper and then cut them up.
Now laminate them. pop a hole on 1 corner and add some ribbon.
I also used some hat elastic so that you can pop it around the gift also.
I made them for all the family but these are mine and hubbies ones.

20  Roses grow where they will in Quilting: Completed Projects by Tanza on: October 17, 2010 05:14:41 AM
I have been planning this quilt for months.....been making it for months too.
with summer here I finally got it finished, I started it before winter.
*sigh* at lest next winter will be warm with it. Cheesy

I love roses and bought these embroidery designs to make this quilt with.
I did plan to stipple it but didn't like the way it can out along the edges so I left it at that.
I used a single bed quilt instead of batting in it.
next time I will use batting.

some of my fav blocks.....

and here it is on the couch
