21  Re: the BIG yarn stash SHOW OFF! in Knitting: Discussion and Questions by mistress_batty on: December 19, 2006 08:45:43 PM
Here's mine! I got all excited and organized it by colors.....and now I have a billion more ideas of things to make. lol

I managed to only forget one skein, a big pounder of white.
I buy most of my yarn from Good Will, I love Homespun yarns and often find them at GW for like 50 cents for a brand new skein...it's pure joy. lol But the bulk of this came from a friend of mine...in October she moved and decided to slim down her stash...she started out with 5 huge tubs of yarn.....she's down to 3 now. lol

22  Re: Medallion Motif Scarf in Crochetalongs by mistress_batty on: October 10, 2006 04:04:15 PM
I started mine....I'm just over half finished. I have 4 of the 7 medallions made....

I like the colors a lot, my only issue is that the pink and dirty white are thinner than the other two colors so ....on some rounds you can see through and whatnot. Oh well....i like how it works. lol

 Anyone else start?

23  Aqua Teen Hunger Force Mooninites cross stitch (for Adult Swim swap) in Needlework: Completed Projects by mistress_batty on: February 20, 2006 06:31:17 PM
I finished this cross stitch piece the other day. I'm going to make it into a wall hanging for my partner in the Adult Swim swap.

I have a bigger photo of it but for some reason Craftster won't post it. If you go to my xanga and click on the mooninites picture it will take you to the bigger version.  http://www.xanga.com/mistressbatty

26  Re: Winter Bag Swap Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by mistress_batty on: December 26, 2005 03:51:34 PM
 Here's my bag from Kataid!

Isn't it gorgeous?! I usually can't stand white (I'm so afraid of ruining it and usually I can't pull it off) but this goes so perfectly with the blues. I love it! I wish I could take a picture of the fabric and get the snowflakes to show up...it's hard to see them in pictures. The swirly pattern is on the strap. And I loooooove that melting snowflake. I love snowflake images...yet hate actual snow. So this 'let it melt' theme is so perfect. <3
Katiad, I am so jealous of your sewing machine, btw. lol I have just a basic one so I can't do all the fancy stuff. One day though! lol Did you create the snowflake image yourself?
 Thanks again!

Sorry for taking a while to get photos up! Here's most of my package from SewingLoir!

A calendar, Santa pillows, and inside that gorgeous blue & cranberry package was the red purse! I couldn't wait until Christmas to open it. hehehe I was really under stress when doing portfoilos and exams and what not, so I opened it for some cheering up. I love it!
I also recieved handmade gift tags in the package, I used them on all the gifts I mailed. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of them before I used them!

A handmade Hello Kitty pillow, a drawstring H.K. bag, and a little H.K. dollhouse cabinet. <3 I also recieved a few sheets of stationary and some mini envelopes. Sorry I didn't get those in the picture.
I love everything! Thanks so much Sugarblossom!

29  Re: Nightmare Before Christmas Swap - Round 2 - Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by mistress_batty on: December 26, 2005 03:31:14 PM

That's my awesome package from my partner Shaina! Well, most of it is here anyways. lol There's an amazing scarf (I am so in love with the Tim Burton stripes) and a Jack skellington head for a necklace. The one thing that isn't pictured is a pair of wrist warmers / fingerless mittens. They're knit, black, and each one has a felt Jack head on  them. <3 They're in the wash right now...I've been wearing them out. I've been wearing them a lot lately. It's been sooo rainy and cold, they're perfect for walking and riding the bus. Thanks so much Shaina. I love it all!

30  Jack Skellington - spoiler for LauraNC in Needlework: Completed Projects by mistress_batty on: December 15, 2005 07:16:42 PM
lol After all these years of being at Craftser and all the things I've made, I've never posted anything I've made. lol I much prefer telling everyone how great their work is and getting inspiration.
But ....I put together this little piece of cross stitch for a swap I was in and thought I'd share. I think it turned out pretty cool. I'm working on a big Sally head now.....

I love christmas breaks...all that time to relax and create <3
Anyone else made any Nightmare Before Christmas needlework pieces?
