1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I'm obsessed about lapidary again! on: October 07, 2006 01:21:35 PM
...thanks to a wire wrapping class I took last weekend, and Remy's tutorial, I have something to do with the cabs I made when I first got the bug 2 years ago. Since then, I'm put away my Genie to do other things, but now all I can do is think about rock! There's always something about taking a raw rock, and making something from it!

2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / My latest beads! on: July 30, 2006 03:40:44 PM
I'm so thrilled with my latest swirls! I'm just not one of those precise cane/bead types. I love the surprise of each of these rather random beads, and it always seems to far surpass what I'd try to plan and create. And the symbol of the swirl really resonates to me.

I did cross post these on the Craftser Etsy thread, but I wanted to 'show off' here too! Yay for polymer!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Ack! Finishing my beads... on: July 26, 2006 11:53:43 PM
It could be partly because I've been doing this just over a week, but I already have a huge backlog of beads I have to sand and finish! I just can't stop trying new ideas and making beads; although I love how they turn out after they've been finished, I'm ready to play with new colors before I finish up 1/2 dozen.

How many beads (I'm doing swirl beads right now. I LOVE swirl beads) do you all make in 'a lot'? Do you finish up all of them, start to finish?

4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Pricing on Giant Sock Bug?? on: April 15, 2006 05:37:56 PM
I have an Etsy shop, and  made this as a custom order. Now I'd like to make more for my shop, but have no idea on pricing purses. I blew up my little Ciciade pouch 220% (I sell the small ones for $10). Sock Bug is fully lined, and has a hidden pocket to hold folding scissors and chibi. Each in individual and unique, I won't make two alike. How do I price them??

I don't want it too cheap, because that has the indication that it's not well made. But I don't want them sitting in my shop, because people aren't willing to pay for it.

It's 7" wide and 10" deep, big enough to hold a sock in progress.

I'd really appreciate it if you could toss some numbers my way....
