1  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / UFOs on: November 14, 2010 10:05:48 AM
Is there a place to post items that have been started that you do not intend to finish?  I was cleaning my sewing room and came across a wall quilt I was working on when I had a country theme in my kitchen.  I have the quilt top and the backing, but don't know what to do with it now as I no longer have a country theme.  Any ideas?

That is a cute stocking.  I make a few each year to replace old ones.  Hopefully I will get all of my stockings to match some year...but the family keeps growing.  YIKES.  Keep up the great work.

I looked at that same tutorial and loved it except that the 2 3/4 on the side doesn't tell you what angle to draw it at  and I know that makes a difference.  I don't know how to make it fit together.  Your bags are great.

I absolutely love that purse.  Did you buy a pattern or make your own?  If it is your own, would you be willing to share the pattern?

Your stockings are great.  Did you use a particular pattern or just do a quilt design and cut it into a stocking.   I made 2 stockings this year just with some quilt designs I had, then paper pieced names at the top.  I really like your design though and could use a few more stockings to be made before Christmas.

One year my MIL gave us money for Christmas and she folded it up small and put it in a walnut shell then glued the shell back together with a ribbon around it to hang it on the tree.  You could write what is coming, and put it in the shell and hang it on the tree with her name on it.

I wanted to thank you.  I found a piece of vintage fabric at a garage sale that I have wanted to make into a purse, but I had something specific in my mind and couldn't find a pattern I liked.  Then I went back to some of my bookmarked items and there you purse was!  It is going to be perfect.  Thank you so much for the tutorial.

Thank you, Thank you.  I was going to take a class on a purse like this and they cancelled it twice.  I have been looking all over for the instructions on how to make it.  The only things I know that the class did is that they used foam board instead of cardboard for the sides and used a kids size 10 - 12 pair of jeans.  I found some at a garage sale for 50 cents a piece.  I am anxious to see your tutorial.  Your purse looks like you have been making them for a long time, very nice looking.

This is a great purse.  Is it a store bought pattern or did you make up the pattern.  I love it!
