21  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Clothing made for Ball Jointed Dolls (MSD/SD) on: September 28, 2007 12:14:30 AM
I at one point, had 5 BJDs, though unfortunately I had to sell the other 4 to get money for my laptop. *sad*. I used to be very into making and selling doll clothes, so this is the stuff that Ive made (well some of it.), then I just got burnt out on it... but anyway, here ya go. Let me know what ya think~

The doll with pink hair/green eyes is Sandia, a Dream of Doll Tender Bee-A (and the only doll I still own), she is 45cm size.

The doll with red hair was Dolmani (Doli), he was a Lovelyhouse ShinE. He is 60cm size. He was my first doll, and looking at pics of him now makes me miss him very much... *sad*

22  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My first cross stitch! Whooo! Im proud. UPDATED WITH ANOTHER on: September 25, 2007 12:20:11 AM
So this is the first time Ive ever done cross stitch (seriously - Ive done silly little tiny things before, but this is the hardest thing yet). I got the pattern from http://www.cross-stitch-directory.com/ and the specific one I used is at http://www.cross-stitch-directory.com/pdf/geo_hearts.pdf only I used floss colors 334 as the dark and 3325 as the light. I want to make at least three others for my mom for her birthday in December. Cheesy This one took me about 7 hours. An hour last night and six today! Eeep.

What do you think? My back isnt too shabby either!

EDIT: I finished the second one! Here it is! Cheesy Now just two more to go in red!!!

24  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Where to get "astroturf"? on: September 19, 2007 07:37:46 PM
Odd question, I know... but Im working on a project for my sculpture class (that I cant wait to finish and put up on here!) and I need astroturf or some form of fake grass fabricy type stuff. I have nooo idea. Im not sure of the exact dimensions Ill need yet, but Ill need about enough to cover a standard sized fold up card table...

Please help? Ive never ever looked for this stuff before! And also - about how expensive should I expect it to be? Thanks!!!
25  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / My first carved rubber stamp for Letterboxing! on: September 17, 2007 11:11:38 PM
I must admit, I was completely inspired by WitchCatXeen - and I know now what Letterboxing is - and I *cant wait* to do it! Infact, living in the middle of nowhere NJ, I didnt think I would be able to find anything. Much to my surprise - thanks to letterboxing.org - there are at least 15 boxes that are within a half an hour from my house! And almost 5 that are no more than 15! Im very very excited, infact - Im waking up early tomorrow to go get a notebook, an inkpad, and go find one or two before my classes!

So without further delay, my first carved stamp. Carved from a Papermate brand "Pink Pearl" eraser. It is a turtle with a heart in the middle of its shell. I own a turtle (I had two, bless my other baby in heaven), and I absolutely love them. I wanted my stamp to represent me and what I like and love. So I combined my love for turtles, with my love for cute things, and made this. Just done with a plain old razor blade! Cheesy

Oh and the scratches within the image are from where I "sketched" with a needle first. I didnt think they would show up when stamped, but with my "sharpie ink" test (I dont have an ink pad!) they did, so I just added more so it would look like a design on a turtles shell!

Please tell me what you think!

Also, anyone have any suggestions for a stamp book of my own? I kind of want to make one so it will look really pretty (at least prettier than a sketch book!). Ive never done any work with paper or book making!

I cant wait to tell two of my friends tomorrow! Theyre really crafty people but most of all they LOVE nature and nature like things - and searching for letterboxes using poems and riddles for clues, going off on trails to find them, and crafts? Right up their alley!
26  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / My moms china plate table! on: March 28, 2007 07:59:57 PM
My mom just made this, and shes really proud of it, so I thought I would put it up here for her, and you to see!!! She had an old table, and she bought a million china (I think) plates, and then cut them with a ceramic knife of sorts. Then she glued them down, and grouted around them. This is the final result! Its really pretty! What do you guys think?

27  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Pastels on bristol (my first piece that Im proud of!) on: February 21, 2007 08:43:05 PM
This was done with chalk pastels on bristol - I did it for my drawing 2 class last semester, and Im really proud of it! Im going to enter it in my schools next art show I think!

28  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Tattoo question (about colors) on: February 14, 2007 10:40:30 PM
Alright. Cheesy So I already have one (or two I guess if you count it that way) tattoo - a rather large pair of wings on my back (you can kinda see in my avie). And hopefully Ill soon be going to get my next tattoo!!! My skin is usually pretty average. Im not tan, but Im not pale. And I was wondering - how well do light colors and white tattoo? My wings had a bright pink in them when they were done, and now its faded to a lighter shade of pink. For my next tat, I want to get a series of stars on my foot, and I want the entire design to be in very light colors (because I want the background of the stars to be blue/green and I dont want my foot to look bruised or beaten up!). If my bright pink faded to a light pink in about a year and a half, how can I expect for lighter colors to hold up? Thanks!
29  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Little felt animals from that japanese book... vday themed! on: February 03, 2007 08:05:12 PM
YAY! So remember my post awhille ago asking about that japanese felt plushie book? Well I got it. And I love it! So for vday I made four of my friends (one of them a guy I have a super HUGE crush on) little plushies of their fav animals! They turned out cute! Not nearly as cute as the ones in the book... but I think I was using the wrong type of felt. I just used basic craft felt. The stuff they show in the book is about half as thick as that stuff, and a million times smoother. And I think a good bit pricier! So these will make due... Cheesy

Here is a snow leopard (for the boy I have a crush on!), and an alligator! I asked Ian (the kid I like) what animals he liked and omg he gave me this HUGE list of WEIRD animals... this was at the top of his list and the only one I even knew of and could recreate!

And here is a turtle and a monkey! Cheesy

30  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Citrus colored ponyfalls! Oooh my first pair, Im so proud! on: January 22, 2007 02:53:40 PM
YAY! So I was in the craft store the other night... so I finally decided I would give simple falls a chance! I never tried cause I thought they would look stupid. Boy was I wrong!!! I LOVEEE THEM!!! Heres some pics! I hate how one turned out blurry. Blech. But I used brown, pink, orange and yellon ribbon, and then some clearance brown and pink yarn! Tonight I bought materials to make another pair in pink and purple! You cant see the pink in my hair in these pics. But I have sort of an outgrown mullet cut, with the bottom half pink and a streak in the front (pulled back).

Also posting my makeup cause its just one thing, so not worth a makeup showoff!
