1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / quick fairy costume? on: October 29, 2007 08:17:02 PM
anyone have any ideas?  i have the wings already...and the costume needs to be work appropriate (nothing short, no skirt, nothing too low) if you have any ideas, let me know.  I am allowed to dress up on Wednesday and need to get something made tomorrow...Smiley
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Bright Pink Convertible Dress on: July 17, 2007 07:00:24 PM
I read all 96 (ish) pages of the sew-along for this amazing dress...and I thought that it would be the right project to get me back into sewing...i used to sew all the time and make it to state fair and stuff....but recently i have been more into crocheting and knitting....anyways...without further ado...here is my version of the convertible dress....
all images are clickable and i decided to show two ways that i like to wrap the straps....i made the skirt a half circle....because a full circle wouldn't look good on me...it's made from some jersey fabric that i bought on sale at joann's

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Baby's First B-Day Gift! on: July 17, 2007 06:35:41 PM
I babysit my one co-workers child occasionally and was recently invited to the girl's first b-day on July 13.....so i had to make her something....i couldn't just get the gift from the store....

The hoodie is a free pattern on the web at the caron website...and the giraffe is from a book that i bought...

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / looking for camisole pattern on: April 06, 2007 08:30:23 PM
i have about 6 balls of DMC senseo and i really want to make a camisole out of it.....something lacy maybe? anyways....if anyone has some ideas, please let me know.....i would prefer something that is free, but if it's a pattern that is paid, i will still look...thanks!
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Yellow, Green and White Layette set on: February 12, 2007 06:08:20 PM
Here is a layette set that I made for my cousin.  I didn't know she was having a baby girl when i first started...but when i found out, I added the dress and the lacy botties...Smiley
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / First post...some FOs that I have made! (img heavy!) on: April 12, 2006 10:58:38 PM
I have been lurking forever...so I thought that I would finally post some of the things that I have crocheted!

A purseof my original design, made of red heart light fuchsia super saver..

2 layette sets for 2 friends at work
both sets were made of leftover yarn

My scrap-ghan...936 motifs all sewn together....a NIGHTMARE, but turned out wonderfully!  My uncle loves it!

And last but not least, my shug/bolero that i absolutely adore!  And I am glad that warmer weather is on it's way!
