1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Dudes, I learned how to work double points! on: December 23, 2014 05:06:24 PM
So, a friend of mine asked if I could attempt to make a drink holder mitten as a gift for her sister. Mind you, I've never successfully worked double points before, they've always intimidated me. But being the determined Scorpio that I am, I decided to give it a go and this is the result ... whatcha think? Did I do good ... Oh yeah, these are my first mittens too (that weren't crocheted.)

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 3 pair of Seahawks Earrings on: July 23, 2014 11:04:22 PM
So, I found a tutorial on pinterest showing how to make a pair of earrings using just beads and a headpin ... easy peasy!! I LOVE my Seahawks and made three pairs of earrings. One pair for me, and one pair for each of my two future mother-in-laws. (mom and step-mom)  Thanks for looking and here is the tutorial I used.  http://tinyurl.com/lgkp8xg

4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / My First Polymer Clay Project - Koi fish (pic heavy) on: July 09, 2014 10:14:29 PM
So, I am brand new to polymer clay and have been watching NerdECrafter's video tutorials for months and months before gathering my courage, buying Sculpey and giving it a go ... I absolutely love her Koi Pond tutorial and decided I needed koi in my life. This is the result of 3 days work. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking Smiley

My second koi, Forge:

I decided to try my hand at wire wrapping and making a ring. This is what I came up with. My best friend loves dragonflies, so this will be for her. This is my first ever attempt, so I welcome all comments and criticism.

7  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / My Little Katy "Berry" Pop Tart on: October 31, 2011 10:10:03 AM
So, this year for Halloween, my 8 yo daughter wanted to be Katy Perry. But, since we live in cold, wet Seattle, Katy's costumes were a no-go since they wouldn't be warm enough. Then she decided that she wanted to be a pop tart. Well, my brain went into over drive and thus ... the Katy Berry Pop Tart was born!!  Yes, her hair is purple, we used Special Effects dye in Deep Purple, loads of fleece and felt and viola!! I transformed her into a Pop tart flavored with California Gurlz Katy Perry.  Enjoy!

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / chunky cable scarf on: September 25, 2011 11:14:49 PM
Hello everyone. I would like to share a picture of the scarf I started and finished today for my 14 yo daughter. I used two skeins of Lionbrand Wool-Ease Chunky in willow, held together on size 19 Clover needles. I found the pattern online here:

This was a super quick, super cute and cuddly scarf!  Enjoy Smiley

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Tatanne Bag in Skulls and Roses Fabric on: June 17, 2011 01:25:36 PM
Hello everyone. *waves*  It's been quite a while since I've posted any projects, but I wanted to share my newest project with you all.  I have had this Alexander Henry Skulls fabric for quite some time, looking for the perfect project and have been loathe to cut into it until I found this pattern online. It's the Tatanne Bag from the Blog:  http://thesisterof.blogspot.com/p/pattern.html  I LOVE this pattern and how professionally it's designed! The only thing I changed was the length of the straps, and I used fusible fleece on the exterior fabric and the handles. I find that it helps the bag to maintain its shape. Without further ado ... my version of the Tatanne Bag.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first hats! Jayne, the hats they call Jayne! on: October 23, 2010 07:09:55 PM
I'm a relatively new knitter, having only knitted dishcloths, scarves and the such. I joined the Whedonverse Swap and my partner mentioned that her husband loved the character Jayne Cobb. Soooooo I decided to try my hand at knitting in the round and knitting with dps .. I made 3 Jayne Cobb hats from this pattern:

Without further ado .. here they are.  Comments welcome.

First one I made, to test if I could actually do a hat. LOL My son.

The one I made for my partner's husband!

Then my youngest decided that she needed a Jayne hat too.
