101  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows swap? **PLEASE NO SPOILERS HERE!** on: July 30, 2007 03:12:06 PM
I soo want to do this... but I didn't see many opportunities for crafting in DH, so is it going to be exclusive to book 7?

Tsk, tsk! There are opportunities for crafting everywhere! I can't list all the ones I can think of without spoiling people, but there are some great quotes for t-shirts, new ojbects we're introduced to replicate, maybe in magnet form, stuffie form, on notecards or whatever, new characters for painting...there's loads!

There have been loads of more general HP swaps (there's an 'everything harry potter' swap going on at the minute, as well as a care of magical creatures swap. there must have been squillions of HP swaps) so my gut says this one should be as closely-focussed on DH as possible.

I'm a potter (the trade, not the name), so DH has opened up a few possibilities for me to make. I have a list of other HP stuff I want to make that's about 2 pages long. I just got the bug to craft HP stuff, so this swap would be awesome as I missed signup for the Everything and I can't make stuff for the Care of Magical Creatures. Also, the late signup would be perfect because then I'd hopefully be able to get another swap under my belt first!

I'm so in!
102  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: BOYS ONLY!!!....? on: July 30, 2007 03:03:39 PM
As soon as I qualify, I'll be signing up to swaps left and right. This one seems fine, as long as it's not boy-themed...that would be boring. Also, I don't really see the point of having a guys-only swap...is there a benefit?
103  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Magic the Gathering Celebration (Signup 7/21/07 - 8/17/07. Send by 9/24/07) on: July 28, 2007 07:25:01 PM
There's plenty of stuff to make involving magic Tongue. I was curious how long everyone has been playing mtg, what do y'all think of 10th edition, what is your favorite cards, how much cardboard crack do you own?

I started playing when I was about 5 or 6, and pretty much stopped playing when I was 11 (8 years ago). I took it up again with my old cards when I got to university and found out a bunch of my friends play. I've had the same deck, with minor adjustments made over time, for about 10 years, with classics like Dark Ritual, Drudge Skeletons, and my favourites, Extinction and Perish (for getting rid of mass amounts of creatures).

I'm so excited to make stuff!

If I can think of enough cool things to make for this, I will sign up. I'm in exams soon too  but I should have plenty of time after that and before send out. Also, I'll need to get enough posts to qualify Smiley .

That's wicked!! Thank you for the inspiration, I now know the first thing I'm going to make when I get back to a pottery studio in a few weeks.

Hi! I live and work in Kiba. I'd love to meet some new people, I just moved here in February. I also just started sewing, so I haven't checked out Nippori but I'm going this weekend.
