1  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Synthetic Dreadlocks... take pity on me on: February 13, 2007 11:50:47 PM
I know theres another thread for dread locks but I cant read 100+ pages to find out.

Yesterday I got my hair cut and it was butchered. Its too short and I look like a boy. Someone called me sir today. If it wasnt for the fact that I am German I believe I would be crying. To make it worse, tomorrow is v-day day and I look like a Nazi. Angry Angry Angry

I have always wanted a big head of Synthetic Dreadlocks. Like a mane of hair down to my chest. But I dont have the 450.00 to go to hair police.

I do have about 200.00.

Where can I go to get a full head of Synthetic Dreadlocks done in the twin cities, MN?

I can try to do it on my own. I have spent 3 hours already trying to figure it out from instructions online, I have failed so if you would be so kind to explain it to me like Im retarded, it would be much appreciated.

2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Tips for Participating in Craft Fairs / How does being a dealer at a convention work? on: February 13, 2007 12:10:30 AM
My best friend just decided that Im helping her sell assorted sci-fi themed craft things at a convention as a dealer. I have only ever been to two different conventions and I know that Amy has no idea what shes doing. She has a tendency to jump first with out looking and I dont want her to fail.

I know that there has to be a post somewhere on this site that explains this but I cant seem to find it.

So, what do I need to know about being a dealer at a convention? Assume I know nothing.
3  ASIA / Japan / 100 yen in reverse person swap on: February 09, 2007 09:49:43 PM
Hello, I recently found a post about 100 yen shops and had a happy heart attack. Only, the thread is old, and I cant sew or knit all fancy like. So I wish to do the same thing but in reverse.

Several options

I can send you American stuff. I am from MN, we have some things I am told other states dont {I have no idea what, maybe you do} and sometimes I can get a hold of tribal Indian things from two different reservations. One in MN and the other in SD. Both Lakota.

Give me links to 100-yen websites that I can order from.

I can order though you, reimburse you for the shipping and the items, and give you a little extra money for being my personal shopper.

Any of these sound good?

5  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / Trying to make Dimmu Borgir spiky boots...HELP!? on: December 15, 2006 11:40:08 PM
Not sure if this the right forum

A friend of mine is trying to find or make boots and arm bands like the ones in the link below. We have no clue what they are called or where to find them. But we do know that the boots strap on in the back if that helps at all.

The band is called Dimmu Borgir. They are a Norwegian Black Metal band.

Any advice? Or at least a point in the right direction? Huh Huh

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Bumper Sticker Backs on: June 25, 2006 12:56:13 PM
For my boyfriends birthday I got him about 200 custom made bumper stickers. We started sticking them to everything, but the bumper of the car. Now, I have handfuls of the glossy backs everywhere. Instead of throwing them out I started collecting them for reasons unknown to me. They are about 4 inches wide and 8 1/2 inches long. What can I do with them?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
