1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: how to sew this wrap? on: April 19, 2011 05:24:14 PM
If you go to the Threads Magazine website and do a search for "cardi-wrap" you will find a link to a downloadable pdf with directions for making something similar (it's just a rectangle with sleeves set into it).

Cool dress and very interesting technique!  Thanks for posting this.
3  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Re: My own version of a Ralph Lauren skirt on: April 08, 2011 03:17:49 PM
Thanks for letting me know the name of the type of fabric you used in the skirt, and thanks again for posting the step-by-step photos.  I really love that skirt!
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: I wanna put on...mah mah mah mah mah boogie earbuds! on: February 19, 2011 09:36:57 AM
Cool!  I already hit "this rocks."  I saw the picture when I logged in, and my first reaction was, "A knitted cord is being featured???  Pretty colours...."  I am so glad that I clicked on it, though!  This is one of the rare occasions when I am going to log out immediately, shut down the computer, and go and make one for myself with yarn that is worth more than my dollar store earphones (and only slightly less than my cheap mp3 player).  I have my priorities!   Grin
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: Patchwork Christmas star decoration on: January 01, 2011 04:08:27 PM
I love it!  Thanks for posting a link to the step-by-step photos.  Now I know what I'm giving certain people for
Christmas this year.  It's New Year's Day - I've got lots of time!    Wink
@ ScorpiosTopazGirl, the diamond shape is a "golden rhombus" (a Google image search should turn up a good
pattern).  Just thought I'd be helpful since the original poster hasn't replied yet and you might want to start
making one asap....   Grin

Very nice!  I might try something similar myself.  I like the contrast between the blue and the black.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: instant gratification beaded glitter scarf! on: September 23, 2010 06:42:36 PM
I love it and I'm gonna copy it!   Grin
the sucky thing about doing the beads was i had to prestring them, about 500 at a time, but the cool thing was once they were on there i just crocheted like normal and it was so easy getting the beads in!
A bead spinner makes pre-stringing the beads easier (but maybe you used one anyway...).   Roll Eyes

That's a great skirt!  Thanks for posting the step-by-step photos.  Where did you get the fabric?
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Challenge 1: Seasnake on: June 22, 2010 08:44:06 PM
Very nice snake!  I hope that book is still in print because I would love to learn how to do this.  I've made rope bracelets with seed beads pre-strung on heavy thread, crocheted with a slip-stitch, and I assume the snakes are made by a similar method.  Thanks for posting the photo.

Cool!  I like your t-shirt version even better than the chain one that inspired it.
