I made the dumpling bag because everybody else was. It's felted.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Painting a purse . . . help . . . on: April 05, 2008 11:27:30 PM
Ok long story short, Forever ago say a purse at Target I loved, never bought it. Kicked myself.

Last Summer I'm at a garage sale and there it is, in white and it's 2 bucks and in PERFECT condition. I bought and proudly carried it for all of 3 days until my pen leaked through the lining and the out fabric, ruining it. Well it's fake leather and a little shiny, is there any way I could paint it? What kind of paint would I use?

Made these for a ornament swap party . . . they look ok?

4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Christmas gift ideas for children on: October 05, 2007 12:41:03 PM
I like to think ahead.

Here's my issue. I'm Italian so that means I have a huge family. LOL! I have 8 cousins all aged 6 and under and I have no clue what to make them for Christmas. I sew, crochet, I can use a glue gun and I make Jewelry.

Another issue is most of it all must be exactly alike. Lotta siblings.

Here's the rundown:

Group one, Madalyn (age 6) and Natalie (age 5). Sisters. Has to match.

Group two, Erin (age 5), Tatum (3), Molly (age 1) and the lone boy in that family, Nash (age 4). All girls items must match exactly and match group one items or World War 3 would begin. Molly's gift(s) doesn't have to match as seeing that she is much younger than the others.

Group 3, Madison (age 6) and Gabe (age 5). Doesn't' matter if it matches others or not.

I don't know what to make, last year was birthstone necklaces for the girls, and bought things for the boys.

Help! I need ideas I gotta start crafting ASAP.
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Has anyone ever . . . on: October 01, 2007 11:59:24 AM
has anyone ever bought anything from http://www.nilecorp.com ?

I was just wondering if they are legit cause some of their prices seem too good to be true.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Bollywood, Grapevines and Swirls, oh my! (pic heavyish) on: September 06, 2007 01:53:51 PM
Turquoise and gold wire earrings.

my sort of Bollywood-ish inspired Gold filigree and Swarovski Crystal earrings.

Blooywood-ish inspired Quartz briolettes, fresh water pearl and glass bead necklace

Freshwater pearls and glass beads. I'm kinda iffy on this one.

"Grapevine" necklace. Glass bead SS chain and curly q thingys.

Quartz briolettes, wire wrapped glass beaded hoops.

Freshwater pearls, Swarovski Crystals and 10k gold plated tube beads.

Ok so what do you guys think? I need brutally honest opinions, which is your fav? What do you hate? I plan on selling these at a upcoming craft show so I need know if something needs to be added or taken away.

7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wirewraps, fried marbles and turquoise, oh my! (pic heavyish) on: June 12, 2007 09:58:37 AM
A few newer things by me, whatcha all think? Be totally honest.

And yes the pendants will be on chains one day. LOL
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Calvin Klein perfume bottle & other odd things ? *mildly pic heavy* on: April 12, 2007 01:17:17 PM
What can I do with these? I just hate to throw the perfume bottle away, it's so pretty. It's a Calvin Klein Euphoria bottle, for those who can't see the writing.

Closeup of the lid.

Now my other odd stuff. Spools and the little plastic thingy they come on.

Yes I am a pack rat LOL! But if I can make something mildly amusing with any of this . . . . LOL
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Help! Need Easter gift ideas for 4 & 6 year old girls. on: March 30, 2007 02:06:04 PM
Ok first off I crochet, I have a glue gun (and know how to use it), I make jewelry, I can sorta maybe use polymer clay and I (barely) sew.

What's something super cute and quick (and not too expensive) that I can make for 2 little girls (one is 4, one is 6) for Easter and doesn't take more than a week to a week and half?  I'm slow/always short on time.

Oh they're sisters so it would kinda have to match or World War 3 would start. LOL

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Moss-ish Green purse *Pattern link added, page 2* on: March 05, 2007 10:19:00 PM
I've been crocheting for about a year now, finally started following my first patten. A Lion Brand one. Only problem was I am on a budget and had to use cheap yarn. Well before I knew it I modified the pattern for use of cheaper yarn, changed alot around so now I guess it's kind of my own patten. A Lion Brand knock off. LOL!

Anyways here it is, if anyone wants my modified patten let me know!

The purse being modeled by a lovely doorknob . . .

The lining with cell phone and iPod pockets.
