21  Jungle Tote in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: February 05, 2007 01:01:06 PM
Got this fabric at JoAnn's real cheap from the upholstery section. Made it while hubby watched the Super Bowl. Think I'll use it when we go camping.

Don't know if you can tell, but there is an exterior pocket with a button.

Inside bag with large inside pocket.

Thanks for looking Smiley

22  New old sweatshirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by justforme on: October 13, 2006 07:12:51 PM
Sooooo I had 2 hooded sweatshirts and seeing what you all do inspired me! I took the blue and white sweatshirts apart and put them back together switching the sleeves and hoods. This one has butterflies appliqued to it. Have not decided how to embellish the other one. Any ideas? Thanks for looking. Smiley

23  Rehupolsterd Victorian (?) Sofa in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by justforme on: October 13, 2006 07:09:13 PM
My sister-in-law bought this for $6! It is my second attempt at upholstery and my first at making cushions. The first photo is what it did look like. If you look closely you can see at the buttons you can see that this was a blue (velvet) fabric. It was very faded and worn through in some areas. The second photo is with the new fabric. To be truthful I NEVER want to do this again. Although I would not tell the sister-in-law that and would do it for her again if she asked. Folks I gotta tell you, she drove this thing through 3 states to bring it to me to work on and now has to come back and get it. Lucky her!

24  It's Christmas Time in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: September 19, 2006 06:41:24 PM
I've been wanting to make a Christmas quilt for some time now. Got the fabric on clearance after the holiday. It is twin size and machine quilted. The quilting design comes from the book 205 Continuous Quilting Designs.

Thanks for looking and any feedback is appreciated.

26  Sesame Street in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: September 01, 2006 10:08:33 AM
Made this for my 2 year old grandson. Everything is machine done as I wanted it to be strong for play. Fozzies tie unties and the whole thing is 3 dimensional.

I am going to post the book with the directions in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
I appreciate any comments.

27  Which is your favorite? in Completed Projects by justforme on: August 23, 2006 01:37:11 PM
Made these pincushions with odd pieces of pottery/china.
I like the tea cup best. Made two to hold the two different sized pins.

28  Alphabet quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: August 02, 2006 09:16:17 PM
Here it is, finally. Took about 10 months to hand quilt. Got the pattern for the letters from Pam Bono Designs (there were some errors in the pattern). I quilted each block differently which was fun.

29  Gifts from a 2 1/2 yr. old in Mother's Day by justforme on: May 21, 2006 06:15:26 PM
My grandson (Ashton) and I made these items for my daughter for Mothers Day. He love to "Gluuuuu."

Flower Pot. He painted the pot, sprinkled glitter on it. Then I had precut some foam pieces. Ashton then glued the pieces to popsicle sticks and stuck them into the styrofoam filled pot. He then sniffed the flowers and said "Ahhh"

More precut shapes that Ashton "gluuuu" over a photo of him and his mom that I printed on magnetic paper. He then glued 3d pieces, dice, buttons etc....  Made a nice picture and frame for the fridge.

What do you think?

30  Bird bath, window and new (old) fence..... in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by justforme on: May 21, 2006 06:00:55 PM
I made these items last summer but was not a part of craftster then.

Hubby and I made this from fallen cedar trees, including the trellis which is permanently attached to the fence.

My sister-in-law replaced her the windows in her home. I took one, made it into and easel and attached a window box. Then painted a scene on the glass. The window box was just planted this am so it looks frumpy.

The bird bath was made from a rhubarb leave, sand and cement. Got the directions from a magazine last year. Sorry don't remember which one now. The chair in the back ground was bought at a yard sale as a set of four. Cut the wooden seat out and drop in a planter and tada! I also plant sweet peas around the back of the chair so over the summer the chair becomes a plant itself.

Sorry for the foggy pics, camera needs to be replaced.

Comments more than welcome...
