My brother is a chef and still had not made him a quilt. this is twin sized, machine quilted and the backing is fleece. Nice and heavy for the winter snow. The second photo is a close up of the edging fabric.

12  Nestled in the Pines in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: August 19, 2009 11:09:55 AM
Hi all:
Been a while since I added anything, but have two new ones to show. I used flannel on the back. Too much heat to even think about trying it out but fall will be here soon. It is twin sized and hand quilted.

13  Josie's Crate in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by justforme on: January 08, 2008 06:06:46 PM
We got a puppy!! She needed a cover for her crate (helps keep it dark so she sleeps a little longer in the am). Also help keep her shedding all over the house down to a minimum.
The Black roll on top of the entrance is a flap that we can drop down if we need to.
Had to show you a pic of the puppy too, her name is Josie.

14  Cute Quilted Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: January 08, 2008 06:02:28 PM
Made my own prequilted fabric because I could not believe how expensive this stuff is!! 2 pockets inside and 2 out. Used 8.5 x 11 paper to make the pattern so you get a better idea of the size.
Oh yeah that's my cat Sam's head trying to get me to pet him. Yeah he won and I did give him some lovin'.

15  Re: TUTORIAL: Singlet Style Shopping Bag (like the plastic shopping bag) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: January 08, 2008 05:52:41 PM
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! What a great idea. We are trying to be more earth friendly so this is a good start for us.
I did not use the pocket and the where the gussets are pressed I did top stitch to help hold the shape of the bag.
Thanks again!

16  Peach Wedding Ring Quilt in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: May 13, 2007 04:50:57 PM
Here it is. Finally. First quilt I made with so many curves. I need some square blocks to regain some of my sanity.
The quilt looks on the pink side but is really more of a peach color. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. I did not quilt the ring portions as I thought it would make them pop a little more.
Thank you for looking and commenting.

17  Vogue 8213 Hat in Sewing Pattern Reviews by justforme on: March 16, 2007 02:48:19 PM
I can no longer have the sun on my skin so I made this to work in the gardens. Fairly easy to whip together and hubby likes it so much he wants me to make more for myself.

Lining:

Brim up and down. These are more the true colors.

19  Summer Wall Hanging in Quilting: Completed Projects by justforme on: February 12, 2007 06:27:45 PM
I made this this past weekend for our porch in the summer. Found the picture in an old magazine. The only directions were for the corner squares. The rest is all from copying the photo and figuring the sizes of the appliques. Now I need to find a good stick outside to run through the loops to hang it!

Now a close up of each of the panels.

20  Blue Quilted Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by justforme on: February 12, 2007 06:23:19 PM
Found this pattern on-line. Problem is I don't remember the site and it was a pdf file. So if anyone wants the directions and pattern just pm me your email address and I'll send it out to you.
