1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Dorm wall decorating on: August 17, 2007 10:56:01 PM
ok so i am leaving for college in about a week. I am going to be a sophmore, so it is nothing new. However, I cannot think of any creative ways to decorate the walls. we are not allowed to have any cloth hangings on the walls, and the curtains are already in the room. The walls are white painted cinder block style, so i can't nail anything.
I was thinking of buying an old textbook with lots of pictures in it from half.com and cutting them out.
or magazines maybe. i don't know.
Any suggestions on text books that have a lot of good picture?
I am not really a fan of black and white... I love bright colors.

or any suggestions about decorating?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / any suggestions for patterns? on: October 12, 2006 08:29:49 PM
so i really hate having to carry my keys and cell phone and everyhting in my pockets when i go to parties and stuff.
i can never find purses that i like, so im thinking im going to make one,
however, i have no idea where to start.
i really love how clutches look, but i hate the fact that i cant put them on my shoulder or anything, and im not a big fan of those hobo style bags.
does anyone have any suggestions of a pattern for a purse that is not real big, and isnt a tote or a jordy bag? also easy to make, im not that advanced with sewing.
