2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Hey Chris & Patent Pending on: August 11, 2006 11:14:36 AM
I'm not sure if I ever posted this here, so if I did, I apologize.

it's based off a shirt from Oath Threadline. The quote is from my favorite author Christopher Gutierrez ("hey Chris...." etc from the FOB song..)

This I made a few days ago, I'm probably selling it to some girl:
original picture, Mike from Patent Pending<3

Thanks for looking.
Comments, critque, etc is all welcome Smiley
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old tshirt to hip pirate skirt! on: July 30, 2006 09:58:17 AM
instead of throwing it away i cut up my old tye dye shirt and made my cousin a skirt. then she fell in love with pirates of the caribbean so i made it into a pirate skirt!!

overall. the bottom is unhemmed for a rustic kinda feel

close up on jolly roger stencil

close up on bow. in the middle of the bow is a safety pin with a lot of embrodary thread hanging down thats tied all weird. again for that rustic feel

and no pirate is complete without her beads! inspired from the bead thing jack sparrow has hanging down from his bandana, the beads are connected to a safety pin (which is hidden under the bow). the string of beads can be removed to be worn on a headband like good ole jack, or can be pinned on the skirt so that the jolly roger is like jack. =)

she loves it Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / 2 mp3 player cases... a monster and something classier on: June 24, 2006 06:48:19 PM
inspired by all the monster iPod cases i've seen here and across the internet; i made a fuzzy neon orange felt one back in march.

and then on sunday i realized its getting too hot for my mp3 player to be wearing a felt cases so i made this pretty one!
front. this one has a button in the front so that the matching string of fabric can wrap around the button to stay closed.
back view, pretty little gold seam.
and it's lined with gold shiney fabric! very classy.

thanks for looking  Smiley

this past regents week has given me crazy amounts of time to be creative.

here's my karma shirt (from stencilry); i love it because im a strong believer in karma

robot from stencilry, text was just me writing odd on paper and then cutting it out

and because i ADORE kurt halsey; i stenciled Met A Boy
and freehanded painting it in with a TOOTHPICK!!!!  needless to say; it took a long time, but i love it.

thanks for looking!
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / altoid tin pocket shrines on: June 05, 2006 07:31:20 PM
completely inspired by the amazing pocket shrines i saw on this board, but completely clueless as to where to find the little book things i put my crazy amount of altoid tins to use. (these are just a few of my crazy shrines) all of the tins were (quite ghetto-dly) paper mached so they could be painted.

for my english teacher who loves italy:
outside, left the newspaper and just colored it with yellow and a goldishbrownish sharpies and blended the colors with my fingers.
inside; nifty little mona lisa (because da vinci was from italy), the leaning tower of pisa, the collesium, a key, and the definition of "vacation"

for my friend:
outside, top cover "cherish" in gold pen
inside, two renissance angels, gold key, gold flower and the definition of "cherish"
outside, bottom- another one of the angels.

for me and my obsession:
LOST shrine, top. newspaper (from an actual lost article), the lost logo, some funky designed paper and binding from a book my dog chewed up.
inside! Locke, Kate, and Claire (pictures from UK promo<3) more funky paper torn and loose binding. on the blank funky paper by Locke i stamped the phrase "all of us are lost" which is from the promo but i dont have a picture of that.
outside, back. thats a gun in the center of the box (a gun that michaels holding actually)

and one that i am so proud of but it makes me so sad:
outside, front. a little sign that says "love". tied down with rope.
inside; the definition of "love". purple flowers. a picture of me and my now ex-boyfriend  Sad  two little bears and the stamped out word "bears" because we called eachother "bears".
outside; back. back of the rope. stamped out date that we started going out. (031005) i dont think i have the heart to put the day he dumped me though.  Undecided
((it's sad because he dumped me in a mean way and he was my first love and we were together for 15 months. i made this around our 1 yr anniversary. so looking at this shrine reminds me of all the good times we had, but also of how he fucked things up and blamed it on me... so its very emotional this little shrine. but i guess thats the point.))

hope you enjoyed. more will be posted soon! promise! i have tons of them.
