1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Chunky Cable Purse on: January 07, 2011 10:41:20 AM

I was on Etsy wishing away I had all the amazing things on there, but I cam across a chunky cable purse that was knitted, it was beautiful! So I wanted to try to convert what I saw into crochet!

The cable goes all the way around the purse and comes up the back to form the clasp in the front.

and at last the inside....

I attempted to do this all in tunisian, but I just could not manage to get the cables down with it. More practice for me!

Hope you enjoy!

C&C welcome.

thanks dip!

Feel free to include finished craft items as well, as long as they fit with your partner's likes.  Don't feel the need to run out and buy something as the purpose of this swap is to clean out your existing stash!

If you want to participate, please fill out this information to send to organizer:

4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Play Food - sweat shop style swap on: November 24, 2010 07:37:30 PM
I did a swap last year that we had a food theme the one I participated in was fruit and I crafted 6 pineapples and sent them to the people in my group and in return I got 6 different types of play food to build for a play kitchen. I am wondering if any one would be interested in doing another swap like this and if so what theme would you want to do?!

I did a personal swap with littlepooky and I got this pattern from a fellow craftster who had made this doll too!

He's a pretty big guy, it actually took me two attempts to make him because the first time the directions had said to stuff then machine felt well the machine i used distorted him greatly to no repair so I had to start all over and the 2nd time I had felted and machine felted then stuffed!

10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Anchors away.... on: May 05, 2009 07:56:02 AM
So I saw the butterfly idea https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=284723.0 here, and thought wow I could make one of these for my grandpa who was in the Navy.

He always tells me the stories about the "H bomb" going off....he was on the ships around it when they first tested it.

Well this past Friday he suffered a heart attack and I finally got my butt in gear and got it finished.

I can't wait to give it to him  Cheesy
