12  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Spray paint question on: August 25, 2013 12:11:08 AM
Ah bugs!!!
I solved this problem! I went to walmart and bought a big ole rubbermaid tub. I spray paint my project then drop the tub over the top. I drilled holes in it, so theres airflow. It may take a bit longer to dry but theres never a bug!
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / bed placement! help me decide on: August 24, 2013 06:04:15 PM
Ok Im down to three options!! I figured since I couldnt decide mabey my freinds here could.  I think one works best but Im not sure. I share my room with 3 very irrating cats, 2 of which share my bed.  this room also has a mushroom chair and lamp (reading area) and a alter area (Im a witch). Each square is 5 inches. Which means the long wall is 15 ft and the short wall is 11.5 feet. Bed is a queen (and I will not go smaller!)

The first option is the bed over by the wall with the dresser at the foot of the bed. I want the dresser by the bed for the cats sake since my bed is higher than normal (and the fancy mirror that attaches to the back is broken)

Option 2 is:
The bed in the same spot with the dresser along the long side of the bed, making the only way into the bed from the foot of the bed. In this option I wouldnt need a night stand. The dresser would partially obstruct the view of the door (which is bad according to feng- shui)

option 3:
The bed in front of the window, dresser along the side. KInda feels silly and blocks most of the window (but the light wouldnt be in my face to wake me up, I sleep PAST sunrise)

14  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Re: Modify clock for teaching purpose on: August 20, 2013 10:17:18 PM
Plastic canvas!!! OMG!!! you could glue pretty paper to plastic canvas that you cut to shape.  As for glowing, cover it in some glow paint. Its sooo easy to redo a clock. I hope it works out beautifully! Post a pic when your done

16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / spray ashesive and light bulbs? on: August 17, 2013 12:24:39 AM
Ok Ok, I know Im overthinking this but..... I have a multihead lamp and redid the shades, I used spray ashesive (ok its late here) and got some inside the shade but have tried to scrub it out. I know this stuff is flamable. What do you think? Is it gonna blow up and start a fire? No? HELP!!!
17  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Cat tree eye sore? on: August 12, 2013 12:01:14 AM
Ok so I got a target brand cat tree for free! Its nice, the cats like the big tube for climbing. I HATE IT!! Its a big blue eyesore. they have antoher perch thats got the two holes and is carpeted, they ignore it! they also have a little cubby hole that they ignore. NONE of them venture up to the top of it but spent most of the weekend on my moms cat tree when we visited (she has 6 foot celeings and the windows up near the top so she has a cat walk going aoound the room). Any ideas of a better tree? Im crafty!
18  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ugly lampshades (multiple head kind) on: August 11, 2013 11:48:10 PM
It is safe to use paper? or fabiric? they get a little warm. I went with spray paint for now, but Im not sure Im done. Curently this is for a living room but one of these little lovelys will be moving to my room once my moms coworker (aka electric boy) rewires the grovy 50s lamp I found on the curb (and spent $20 on parts for). Im thinking for my room of doing stars or somthing asian. The part of my room where I sleep is done in a nice celestial theme.  The rest of the room has a sorta asian flare cause I have bamboo, swords, and some japanese paintings. My living room is unforanally a disaster. Its mostly burgendy (ICK) and browns.
19  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / Ugly lampshades (multiple head kind) on: August 10, 2013 05:48:05 PM
You know those cheap 5 headed lamps target sells for $20? THe ones with the ugly plastic shades? The shades I hate more than anything? What can I do to make these look less ummm college? Replacing them is not possible right now Undecided Oh and one of the shades has a hole in it (it sorta leaned to close to the bulb and melted)
