Samples of fabric she sent,

What also came that I didn't get pics for were a couple of pencils, some Hello Kitty Stickers, a Frida Kahlo postcard & some butterfly magnets.

32  My Version of LABH's Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ForevrBee on: December 23, 2004 12:37:59 PM

My version of the bracelet. The beads are handmade with sculpey, painted with white acrylic & Gloss.
As for the choice of song, I selected Smashing Pumpkins' "Pennies" with a real penny as a charm, but it was a !# to get it off the metal punch (I had to get a penny made before 1982 {when they still made pure copper pennies} & I allready had enough trouble with the iron).
I didn't use all the lyrics of the song & so that not everyone can read my writing, I'm putting what I wrote on the beads.

Quote
And I stumbled onto you
As you stumbled over me
And you say the fates were cruel
For throwing us together
I always loved you so
Especially when you'd go

All the world must know
That I loved you so

33  "And You Too, Can Have A Man Like this In Your Life" Doll in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by ForevrBee on: December 12, 2004 01:10:10 PM
I'm been into a doll making thing as of late (with all the swaps I'm in)& Have had the idea of making a "Anatomically-Correct" male doll (also a female one possibly). Although, I was going to do it from scratch (I have a habit of doing that), with no patterns or guides, I ended up with a drawing of a "Scantiliy clad" man I had saved from a Spanish website, printed him on iron-on transfer paper & ironed "him" on a sheet of white felt. I cut him out (& an outline on another sheet of felt), sewed the two together, added stuffing & did the final closing stitch. I added yellow embroidery floss for his hair & "fig leaf" to cover the cartoon cat that was covering his "down-below" originally. He has a "quilted look" to give him a "real-life" athletic, muscular look to him.

He's not completely finished, I stll need to do some more needlework, plus I want to add an additional backing but, I ran out of polyfill stuffing while making him & my other swap projects.

I myself got one today from Jan_On_Ice, An Astrology-based one, combining the symbols & symbolism of my sun sign (Libra) & Ascendant (Aquarius). I love that she is standing on the "scale" pouring "water from a jug".

Thanks, Jan_On_Ice

And a little pouch encasing it (Love the little gun motif).

I think I'm the first person here to get something. I got from princess_me yesterday, an abstract (I think that's the term) painting she did back in July.

The purple looks black in this scan.
Good job, princess_me.
