281  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: EGL Meets St. Patrick!!! on: March 02, 2006 03:37:43 PM
I love St. Patrick's Day! And your skirt. I can't seem to make a circle skirt that isn't a size too big or too small yet, but yours gives me hope I can one day develop talent. Grin

Your wedding is Day of the Dead themed?
How awesome are you? Even more awesome because you have tatoos! I am afraid of any kind of needle. . .*sighs*

Your mom has some snazzy stuff in her closet.  Cheesy
284  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Star Wars + Tulle + Pleats + Me = Another (Awesome) T-shirt Dress on: February 28, 2006 07:17:44 PM
Yes, another one. But this one is for Brittany. I hope the measurements are right. . .

Star Wars T-shirt Dress!!!

I messed up the bottom pleats (not enough fabric) and decided not to sew it together but leave it and add a bow! And there's tulle layered underneath the pleats.

Close up of sleeve. I made it corset-like!

Me modeling it in my mirror. Brittany will lahv it!
What do you think?
285  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Luxury Items kinda bite. Let's DIY! on: February 19, 2006 04:55:05 PM
How often are do you browse through magazines and websites and see something totally gorgeous but it costs waaaayyyy more money than you're willing to spend?
I took this Rent test (which comes out on DVD Tuesday!) on Alloy.com to see which Rent character I am (Mark, btw.) but with the test Alloy gives you a list of accessories that match your character or whatever. I saw this velvet paisley hobo and fell in love with it. But it costs $26, $17.99 on sale. Puh-lease, I'm a DIY girl. . .

The original bag and my version!

I just have to figure out how to do the ruching and I'm set.
286  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Re: Whats your size/challenge? on: February 18, 2006 08:26:09 AM
Well, I'm a size 14 or 16 depending on which store it is (it is evil how they have different sizes per store).  I have gigantic boobs and hips but a smaller waist. I buy shirts and they wrinkle at the bust but fit perfect at the waist. And I have no butt, but hips and thighs. Kinda funny. And the theory 'buy a sewing machine, make your own clothes' doesn't work for me. I can design but have no sewing skills. *sighs*

Those girls look like my friends Bailey and Jennifer. I wonder. . .
288  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Innovators and Moochers. My first post. . . on: February 18, 2006 07:05:45 AM
It's a rose. You just can't tell because of my poor digital camera skills. Thanks!
I want a cupcake applique.
289  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Innovators and Moochers. My first post. . . on: February 17, 2006 08:04:42 PM
Myself being the innovator, Elphie-Bay being the moocher.
I made this T-shirt dress from 2 old Tees. . .

The Bailey, my Broadway buddie asked me to make her one in Wicked colors, so I came up with this. . .

The sleeves are puffy with slashes to show the green fabric underneath. I like hers but it needs something more. Any ideas???
I have no idea what happens at the bottom left hand corners. They turn out wonky but it looks okay if you're wearing it. . .
