Soooo cute! Great job! I'm sure the mom will love it. Smiley

Great work! Calista's talent in putting together the pattern is absolutely amazing, but I must admit that I hadn't really thought I liked the sweater before when I saw it.

Your pictures show off the design so well that I'm definitely putting it on my "to do" list!

It would just be pretty expensive to do an adult sweater in that yarn. I'm still a bit of a newbie and not buying fancy yarns for large projects.

Yet.  Grin

Thanks guys!

Yes, the buttons were an important part. Smiley

k8thagr8, it's a pretty easy pattern that's done sideways garter. The only tricky part is the increasing and decreasing to shape the edges of the shoulder.

My first baby sweater and one of my better FO's! This is the "Baby's pure and simple pullover" from Weekend Knitting. I used Ry Classic Cashsoft Baby DK and boy howdy is that stuff soft! I wish I could make a me-sized sweater of it...

Gave it to a friend in London and grabbed these pics (with a British pound next to it) just before handing it over!

Wow, that looks FAB-U-LOUS! Great job!

That doesn't look like a very chunky yarn in the pic. How many balls did you use?

That's gorgeous! Very well done. You must have a lot of patience. Smiley

Here's mine:

Even though I'm a bad artist on the little Conserve Wildlife one, it's very much like a drawing I made for my father when I was a little girl. He, much like Steve, is a huge conservationist. I might add a few more doodles before it goes into the envelope tomorrow.
29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: i don't know what these are called, do you? on: September 19, 2006 01:01:12 PM
Unfortunately, the only place I've seen good ones for sure is at createforless.com and they don't seem to have them right now.

Joann has a couple: http://www.joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=116812&PRODID=127588

It looks like they also refer to them as "drawstring lock" at Joann.com.

Good luck!
