51  Re: Unconditional Swap October 2006 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by PinFish on: November 21, 2006 04:54:49 PM
Agh, I'm afraid my pictures came out no better. That picture does no justice to these earrings, guys. They're little wearable works of art, I adore them. Here's a crappy action shot for y'all.

look how happy I am!  Grin

Thanks again, so much!

52  my version of the chocolate monster... aka Huggymonster! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by PinFish on: October 25, 2006 02:14:38 PM
Now that KatJones has recieved, I can post this. I made this for KatJones in the October Unconditional Swap- it's my take on the "chocolate monster" posted by someone else a while back. I gave my monster his own bag of chocolates. It's velcroed to his hands, and the bag itself has a velcro patch for each season.
Here he is!

Here are the patches:

and of course the pumpkin patch is above.
Here he is without the bag- the velcro on his hands is the soft side, so he's huggable and doesn't stick to things.

I'm really happy with how he came out, and i'll probably be making more now that I know how to do it.
Oh, and he's made of thin green fleece and felt. The bag and patches are all felt with embroidery.

54  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by PinFish on: October 24, 2006 06:43:06 AM
Everyone has such awesome hair! Here's mine again. First the old, that I posted way back when:

And here's what that grew out into. I dyed it a darker red but it really needs to be redyed, my roots are showin'.

Mind you, my bangs are not normally in my eye like that. That eye is blind, so I had no idea that my hair was in my face when the picture was taken, and then the camera batteries died so this was the best one I got.
Anyway, I really like how it is now. I started straightening it and ever since I've been getting mega amounts of compliments. So I'm doing something right! Grin

55  I Did It! Or, Dr. McNinja Stencil in Stenciling: Completed Projects by PinFish on: October 17, 2006 08:22:38 PM
Woohoo, I did my first stencil EVER! I'm so proud. The cutting out alone took me two and a half hours. Gah, but I think it turned out really well! I used the freezer paper method. It's a christmas present for my big brother. If you know Dr. McNinja, you may remember this part- it's from I think chapter 3, when the guy says "but I have diabeeeeetes!" And Dr. McNinja says:

Here's a shot of the whole shirt, so you can see the placement + whatever. Excuse my messy kitchen table.  Tongue

So, tahdah! I did it, and the only thing I don't like is how dark the shirt is as compared to the paint. It's a little hard to see the picture in some light. But I hope my bro likes it anyway.
Oh and the flash made the paint lighter in these photos, it's actually opaque black paint.

Hooray! I recieved yesterday from Shuffar and I love everything she sent!
First, the cutest donut shirt ever-

look look, the sprinkles are chain stitch!

Then this adorable knitted cupcake! It's my new pincushion.

My favorite item, a little box entitled "A Sweet Disaster".

And a few extras- some cute chocolate milk envelopes, some deliiiiiicious dark chocolate raspberry things, and the cute little card she wrote the notes in. Oh! And she sent my boyfriend some m&ms, but they are long gone now  Grin

Thank you so much Shuffar!!

59  Re: Firefly/Serenity Round 3 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by PinFish on: June 29, 2006 10:39:32 AM
Oh. My. God.

I just recieved the most amazing package in the entire universe, from none other than the talented and wonderful iScreamedMyselfHoarse.

First of all, I pulled out this.

The coolest, and possibly best-fitting, shirt I now own. I LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!! Yes i know it's creepy but I have this weird obsession with those blue-handed creepyguys... hehe.

Next, I found these:

Kaylee flipflops! iScreamedMyselfHoarse apologized in her note for sending just these in terms of Kaylee related stuff... little did she know I REALLY needed flipflops but I couldn't find any cute enough and these are PERFECT. I love orange  Cheesy I'll be wearing them everyday, everywhere. Love.

Then I pulled out this... stuff just kept gettin' better'n'better:

BLUE SUN POUCH OMG. PERFECT stenciling, or painting, or however it was done. absolutely perfect. screenprinting maybe? Either way, I bow to your skillz.

Hmm, there's something in it. I will find out after I pull out this next OH MY GOD:

Also pictured is the opposite side of the blue sun pouch.

And finally, I opened the pouch and pulled out the coup de grace. The most amazing, adorable, fantastic, I'm-never-taking-it-off:

and extra WASH DINOS to PLAY WITH.

preg_replace('/(.{49})/', '$1 ', 'Thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou')

This was my favorite swap ever and you were the best partner I could ask for.

I feel so inadequate... I didn't send nearly as awesome stuff to her! Sad Well, I guess she liked her package, which should be good enough for me, but still Sad
Thanks again, and thanks Shylitlegoddess for organzing and letting us in late!

60  Re: CUFF SWAP ROUND 2!!!! in The Swap Gallery by PinFish on: June 20, 2006 06:10:12 AM
I'm so glad it fits, ohmyword! I was really worried it'd be too tight- I don't have any friends closeby with wrists that small so I used a cardboard form to test the size  Undecided but yaaay it fits!

Here are the pictures of the cuffs I recieved from ohmyword:
The black and white one is reversible, but doesn't fit me, so I'm giving it to my friend. I love love love the brown one that's on my wrist- it's just my style!

Here's the reverse side of the black and white one, brown and green polkadot.

And here's the way the brown one goes on and off- so unique and cool! Thanks again!!
