21  Re: 50 Wash Cloths-along (now with MORE patterns!) in Knitalongs by WitchCatXeen on: July 20, 2007 01:41:33 PM
Okay, I added new pattern links!

And, I'm finally going to suck it up and share my "feather and wrinkles"... blah.  maybe it'll look better is a solid color, as opposed to off-white... but its so gross to me.

Do the dishcloths I did just before I found out about this KAL count? (I would only count number of patterns, not the number in each pattern).
Yeah, that'll count... since this is about doing one of each, you can count them Smiley
Hey, anyone up for a KAL within the KAL?  I want to try the garterlac cloth but I want someone else to try it with me -- I'm a little afraid to take it on by myself.  Please?   Smiley
Ahah... I was going to do that last night but was too chicken to do it on my own... Right now I'm not up for something entirely new like that, so I'll be working on the mellower stuff for now.

22  My first embroidery attempt in Needlework: Completed Projects by WitchCatXeen on: July 12, 2007 11:51:20 PM
Okay, I used to cross stitch when I was little, but that was ages ago.  I haven't done actual embroidery like this - special thanks to the videos of the nifty lady who hangs out here.  I can't remember her name Smiley

I'd love to do more like this, but I just don't have anything to put it on! At least I'm not intimidated by it anymore.

Oh, I used variegated floss... it was awesome for all that purple.  I love the effect, and I'll do it again Smiley

23  Re: Nintendo/Videogame stitchalong? in Needlework: Stitchalongs by WitchCatXeen on: July 12, 2007 11:46:51 PM
I did Mandyhello's pattern ages ago but just now was able to scan it in.  I only had variegated colors available at the time, that's why it looks like shit :-/

crosseyedcat, I LOVE your space invaders thing!

I finished the almond back loop stitch last night.  It came out sooo lovely.  Its ridgy looking... and for those of you who can't get te the lion brand website, its just crocheting into the back loop of the half double for every row.

here's a pic.  its the best i can do with my webcam, but it'll give you an idea

I think I'll make a couple more "sweets" and then move on to some other foods... I'm SO VERY PROUD of me.  An idiot could make these Smiley

Yes I know, everyone and their dog is making these Smiley

27  Re: Happy 100 Personal ATC Challenge & Gallery in Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) by WitchCatXeen on: June 27, 2007 04:23:47 PM
Okay people, not enough of you are sharing.  Get with it! *whip crack"

I did Clouds, Lightening, Bubbles, Elephant, Secrets, Remnant (misspelled there), Juggle, Card & Aura
(I'll be cutting them up and putting  them in my ATC gallery later on)

So these are the first 10, done last night, minus the hyena one 'cause I can't stand them, can't draw them, and don't have any pictures of them.

28  Re: Draw a Chibi Bunny-along in More Art, Less Craft: Discussion and Questions by WitchCatXeen on: June 26, 2007 05:20:33 PM
Hi Christal! I love your bunny's feet and ears the best Smiley

Here's mine! (2nd attempt, first one had an unusually LARGE head)

I messed up his armpit whilst inking.  Still dunno how I did that.  And I colored him with Crayola Metallics.

29  9 earrings (1 big pic) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by WitchCatXeen on: June 10, 2007 09:35:03 PM
I wanted to show these off to get some feedback and to hopefully get someone out of their crafter's block.  I always look at everyone's earrings for inspiration Smiley  I tried not to let the pic get too big but I wanted to give the n00bs a good idea of how they work.

30  dreamcatcher & Witch's Runes (5 new goodies!) in Completed Projects by WitchCatXeen on: June 10, 2007 09:28:42 PM
A MIXED MEDIA dream catcher.  Booya Smiley
Sculpey, yarn, wood, acrylic paint, duck feathers...

And some Witch's Runes.  Made from oak.  Symbols burned using a *gasp* wood burner! ;-)

I made these items a few years back but couldn't share them at the time (that's a post for a whole 'nother board...).  But I'm glad I can share them now.  Maybe strike some inspiration.
