What a thread!!!

I must say, every picture I've seen is absolutely wonderful!  THis dress looks great on so many figure types, it's amazing!

And for us incredible growing and/or shrinking women, the adjustability factor is a sweet bonus!

Than you sooo much for creating this beautiful thing!  I will post when I make mine!!

Also, try a different color thread than black!!!

I learned that black thread is usually 'overdyed' - blue or other dark thread dyed a second time to become black.  This makes the thread more brittle than other colors.  If you're using cone thread like the picture there suggests, you may do well to use color cones, and get a good durable black that isn't overdyed.  I can't remember which brand said they didn't make black that way, but hopefully your Joann's will know!

Well, you know the old joke:
How do you find the exact center of a piece of fabric?

Spread the cloth out on the floor and leave the room for a moment.  When you come back, the cat will be in the exact center!

One time I found Sweet William (RIP) in the dark hallway, chewing something.  I swept my hand in front of his mouth, only to find he had eaten a threaded needle - needle end first!!!!  Needless to say that was the last time I left any supplies within his reach!!!!  (I usually stick them in the arm of the couch where I am sitting)

He was the absolute BEST cat, even so!  When I had pneumonia, he stayed either on my chest or next to me, and wouldn't leave me.  Nice furry vibrating heating pad.....sigh...

Put a wad of it in a net and hang it outside for birds and squirrels to build soft nests with!

There's a GREAT little store in Pomona, called 221 - they specialize in featherweights, and have older Singers and other fun stuff.  It's on the 3rd Street Antique Mall area, the western end...

There was a Singer store in Hollywood, can't seem to find it anymore...
