1  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Need help sourcing fabric! on: July 23, 2009 04:38:57 PM
Hello, I hope I'm posting in the correct place. I am in love with this chair (well, really the fabric), but I've heard that it's insanely uncomfortable:

I know I have seen the fabric elsewhere before and figured I could just get a comfortable chair and reupholster. The other chairs in this line have fabric from Duralee/Thomas Paul. Does anyone know where this fabric is from? I've googled the name they are calling it and get nowhere! Thanks!

I just bought some Debbie Bliss Stella (on sale at Webs and Ram Wools), I think I should be able to get gauge for the Twiggy Tunic with two strands. Can't wait to get started, progress pics soon!

Note: Shire Silk not working out. Purchased replacement yarn: Berger du Nord Belle & Belle. Will keep you posted on progress! I'm chomping at the bit here!

I just bought some Plymouth Shire Silk in Jade for this, waiting for it to come in the mail. Looks like it might be a little nubby (it's 100% raw silk) but it's the same gauge as the Tilli Tomas. Can't wait to get started, everyone's finished Sahara's look fab!

BTW the Shire Silk is $6.50/109 yard skein. I'll let you know how it comes out!
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New to knitting - knot tied in yarn is this normal? on: August 05, 2006 11:44:36 AM
This happened to me last night and I was furious! It has happened to me a few times and only with Lion Brand yarn...but I just knit it and hope it lands in the back lol.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: my poor hand, but i will finish this tank before saturday! on: August 01, 2006 05:29:07 PM
I made a scarf similar to this, the darning goes really really fast so you'll do fine =)

Beautiful tank, I can understand the desire to have it done!

8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Recipes for a Dutch oven, e.g. Le Creuset? on: July 24, 2006 10:20:47 AM
My FAVE recipe for my dutch oven (I love mine as well, it's an investment but I use it often) is Martha Stewart's chili from Everyday Food. It's soooo good, my BF gets so happy when I make it:

Also, I got a book at the library called "All About Braising", it's a gorgeous book and the Le Creuset is perfect for braising cheap cheap cuts of meat and making them taste amazing.

Congrats on the purchase, you will love it!

Just purchased the pattern and Knitpick's Shine Worsted in Crocus, a gorgeous pink/purple color.

Joining late too, but glad to see everyone's finished sweater, they all look fab!
