21  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: Child Abuse Make Up - graphic images - image heavy on: September 12, 2009 12:22:54 PM
Wow. She really does look abused. Including the body language. I hesitate to say awesome job, because that just feels like the wrong thing to say, you know?

How about very convincing, and I almost want to call Child Protection?
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What is your favorite needles brand? on: September 12, 2009 12:19:11 PM
I'm with Tephra. Love my options.
23  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Re: TWO-Hour Sweater! on: September 10, 2009 04:11:48 PM
Well, I started, had to leave it alone, and picked it back up. I'm using 2 strands of some acryllic I had around ( I wasn't sure I'd have enough of anything else). It's funny looking while on the needles - it's curled and looks too small for my 6 year old, but too long for me! I figure if I can't wear it, I'll give it to her, but I do seem to be getting guage, so ....
24  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: tobacco bags for the smokers among us on: September 09, 2009 02:16:30 PM
And even if you don't smoke, a lighter is always a good thing to have on hand. It's great for eyeliner, melting plastic, removing stray threads, etc.

This could easily be modified to hold a "survival" kit, if you will. Lighter, scissors, basic stuff you always seem to need but never have on hand when you do Smiley Great idea.
25  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Future SEWING/craft space needs.... crafting- HELP!! =/ on: September 09, 2009 02:12:18 PM
My mom has some hanging shelves. It's an eye screwed into the ceiling and these hanging metal things shaped like |_| that she put some pressboard across. Use some glue/modgepodge and some scrap to cover it (like a mosaic almost) and use the vertical space.

Also, ANY place you can stick some L brackets (under the desk, at a corner) to make cheap shelves is good for small stuff like thread, fabric, notions, etc.

Can you make a "wall" of those plastic drawers to separate your craft area from the rest of the room?

That explains what happened to mine Cheesy
27  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Microwave Fudge--Unbelievably Easy! on: September 09, 2009 01:58:05 AM
I have to try this. Without the candy thermometer I've never tried fudge,. but now....

I've made countless batches of "real" (as in the hard way) fudge, and never used a thermometer. Only once did it turn out bad, and it was the summer.

This recipie is really good. It's missing a touch of vanilla, and butter, imo.
28  CLOTHING / Costumes: Completed Projects / Re: Just some Fursuits (image intense) on: September 09, 2009 01:42:09 AM
How do you make the heads? I'm sure it's tons of work, but I've wanted to do a suit like this for cosplay, but I don't have the experience to do it on the fly.
29  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Maxi Pad Self Portrait *ADULT IMAGERY SORT OF* on: September 09, 2009 01:13:34 AM
Ok, I'm going to be the lone voice. I'm horrified. If there's one thing I never want to think about, it's my leaking crotch.

The portrait is nice and all, but it's not my medium.
30  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Wolf Fox Thing? on: September 09, 2009 12:30:05 AM
