This is my favorite Craftster post ever. I love that your son had a passion and pursued it, aided by sympathetic adults. You're obviously so proud of him and he deserves any and all praise you heap on him for his initiative. He's very talented.

No way... that kicks a$$.
23  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: Bricks on: May 07, 2008 06:08:23 PM
The colors are so pretty, and I love the quilting. It's good to know you used a Kenmore and got results like that... I have one, too, and have been reluctant to try freeform quilting. Thanks for the inspiration!

Not only is that cat toy awesome, but your cat looks EXACTLY like one of my kitties from the side. Uncanny!
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: My first no-pattern sweater, inspired by the Tree Jacket on: April 28, 2008 02:01:27 PM
It's wonderful! I love how you used the garter stitch... I think that doesn't get used enough in sweaters. It's beautiful on you!
28  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Hourglass Jacket (Broomstick Lace) on: April 28, 2008 01:51:33 PM
I am usually not a fan of crocheted garments, but this is absolutely lovely. It is very flattering on you!
29  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Ludacris Cross Stitch on: April 26, 2008 05:10:50 AM
Brilliant. Any time I call my husband in to see a post, that means it's brilliant.
30  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Vanilla Magnolia Cake with Strawberries and Cream on: April 26, 2008 05:07:15 AM
For some reason I read the title as "Vanilla Mongolia Cake" and was especially intrigued. The cake looks delicious and I'm sure your grandpa appreciated it!
