My partner in the mixed media heart swap received...I am always inspired by Smmarrt...making things for her is always fun and a challenge...for this swap, I made fabric out of the bits of fabric and string that I save...I then painted some canvas, stitched the new fabric on top and made a heart "pillow"...the hanger is from a skirt that batgirl gave me years ago.  The metal heart is a whimsy rackycoo sent me...and the tassel, I believe, was in a package from craftylittlemonkey...see...I save EVERYTHING! lol

Anyway, making a few more to send love to long distance friends who need a boost right now...

I also made these for Lana's Small Things Matter charitable organization...they are stuffie bodies for kids to decorate and then donate to kids in need of some happiness and comfort!

ha ha I knew one or more of the pieces would try to escape...I purposely did not wash out all of the stabilizer hoping that whatever I missed with keep them all "glued" in...anyway, I had fun making it and am in the process of making a few more to send to some special people who need some long-distance love...

thanks for being an inspiration to paint as well...it is something that I need to transfer over to the paper crafting side of the fence...

Good tip!  I buy gesso in large quantities and would hate for a large jar to go bad!

Mold...throw it out...latex paint can also grow mold...if it looks or smells bad, it probably is!

You really did some beautiful work!  I really need to break out my embroidery machine and start doing some positive projects!

I really love the variety of nice things you sent to each partner!

Those patches are really fun...especially love the one on your bag!

Good idea to wrangle all of the lose stuff we carry into pouches!

lol the zodiac kitty is really small...about 3x5 inches...super simple as well since I am still learning about cross stitching...it has so many mistakes, which makes me realize that I really am not a pattern person...lol...I prefer the freer style of embroidery like on the tm patches! but thanks...it was fun to get to the end!
