16261  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Scrap Happy Patchwork Swap GALLERY: send by 11/30 on: December 01, 2011 07:31:37 AM
Lovely scrap combos!

I like it when a motif fabric is featured in the scrap mix...it tones it down and makes it stand out...such great ideas...

I love mug rugs...I have been using some of mine to set my flowers on and also for kitty treats...such a great thing to have!

The cuff is also quite lovely!  The little doily really is the shining star on the background fabrics!

Well done!

I love the stories of the images...and I even like the imaginative stories as well... Grin

I think this is my first vintage tin swap as well...using paper, anyway!  yeah--it is nerve-racking but I am glad I joined!

My tin is shipped!!!

Now I want to make more for myself in this theme! Cheesy

nooo--I take a crumbled piece of wax paper and rub the heck out of it over anything that I use the glossy mod podge for...it seems to work as sort of a sandpaper and takes out the stickiness...try it and see if it works for you...

I will have to say that jemimah introduced to me silk thread....I am not sure if I love her or hate her... Grin

It is beautiful and you can see from this piece, just how gorgeous it is (well, of course the design and stitching is very important as well!)....

Beautiful work...just beautiful...

I will continue to be inspired to learn and do more stitching from needlework artists like you! (

yeah--I think I will stick to what I know Grin...I usually just grab whatever jar I have...I use sandpaper if it is too shiny anyway...I used water down cheap white glue for years so I wish I never heard of Mod Podge! Cheesy

Is the matte different than the paper mod podge?  I was using the matte for years but the clerk at Michael's said I should try the paper one...honestly, I did not notice much of a difference at all...except that it is more expensive! Grin
