I did it!  The quinoa burgers turned out good and tasty...even my hubby liked them and said I could make those anytime!  He ate three!  I added a bit of cayenne pepper and black pepper to the recipe and left out the chives since I did not have any. I also sauteed the rest of the chopped up kale with some primo balsamic vinegar and pine nuts--yummy!

I will have to say that the original recipe seemed a little bland to me but I loved the texture and it really is quite filling...don't eat too much if you are not used to fiber, if you catch my drift! Cheesy

CLM--your wraps sound so yummy!  I need to have a list of some "go to" healthy foods that I tend to forget about...hummus, avocado...making my shopping list for this weekend!

Lunch today---quinoa patty with thin round whole wheat bread, wasabi mayo, lettuce, tomato and carrot sticks!  Can't wait for lunch!

We don't have Trader Joe's near me. I will check Target!  I forgot that they carry food!  I did buy organic...then someone told me Costco sells it in huge sizes for dirt cheap...oh well...it might also be sticker shock since I do not do the grocery shopping...I nearly fainted to see feta cheese at $5 for a chunk!  wow...I might be losing weight just because I won't eat too much of these healthy foods! Cheesy

I have millet!  Not sure how to cook it, but I will look it up!  Thanks everyone...appreciate any help!

dang, quinoa is expensive!  I got all my ingredients at lunch today...plus a salad to eat with leftovers for dinner...

I am excited to make patties--I am guessing they will freeze since I can't imagine eating them all week...

I also picked up some Instant Breakfast for "emergency"...not sure how good they are for you, but I figured they were better than other things I would grab...

I get weighed next week to see if I lost the 10 pounds I was suppose to lose from my Doctor visit in December!  I think I have, since my hip feels normal!  No pain!  The doctor promised that a loss of 10 pounds or more would help my hips and my knees...I think I might have to tell him he was right! Cheesy

I think I might just use a QFK pattern!  I like the disappearing 9 patch...I always seem to need a fabric I do not have in my stash to make sashing...I need to stop buying prints and buy some basics...grrr...I think I also have plenty of white...I basically only have four fabrics that go together...

I loved the turtle...I printed out the template and pattern a while back and just have not had the time...but it is too cute not to make!

I also loved your stenciled bags...

K-star--the socks are quite an accomplishment!

nisforneville--hey--yarn is a good BD present! Cheesy

I dug into my decorator and upholstery fabrics...hubs wants a curtain in the doorway of our laundry room...I showed him what I had on hand, and he was happy with most of it...YAY!  I can use up some stash and use the money for something else! Cheesy

I have had the pattern for this linked for some time!  I, too, think it is just so cute!  I love that you made it your own by just embroidering the hexies!

Thanks for sharing...bet you wanted to keep the little one for yourself!

also, nice to make it special for your partner with the elephants and map!

me, too...I really want to tackle an "image" quilt...but I think my kaleidoscope quilt has been on my list way longer...I really need to do two baby girl quilts (twins)...something fast and maybe the same except for the colors...any suggestions for patterns?  I have two cute main fabrics, one in blue and one in green, with woodland creatures...and matching stripes...I just need something fairly fast and not so boring...

Awww--I hope at least that someone found the little owl and has it on a bulletin board to enjoy... Sad

jillybeans...I like your suggestion to actually attach it to a card or some other bigger piece...I also like dew's suggestion to use a bubble envelope for thicker cards...nothing is more aggravating than to work hard to make something and it gets damaged or lost in the mail!  It makes my stomach queasy until my partners receive...I hate it!

ha ha "go step on a leggo"...ouch!

Aislynn--I bet it is way harder for your generation to not eat pizza...seems like we have more pizza places than gas stations!  I will eat a slice now and then, but I basically avoid it.  I think if you wean yourself off slowly, you will stop craving it...much like giving up cigarettes! Cheesy

The sherbet sounds yummy!

I am making the quinoa burgers I found on here for my weekly goal recipe!  I also printed the black bean burgers for future use...I am going to craft some sort of recipe book to keep all of the healthier recipes I really use.

Salad for lunch today...I had blueberries with greek yogurt for breakfast, an orange for a snack...I am up to 4 glasses of water so I am sure I will meet my goal today!  I only got up once last night to go potty, so I think my body is getting used to the water! Cheesy

Eating more plants is a great goal!

ysmeine--love the scarf and your idea for display for picture taking!  I need something for hats as well...maybe a balloon head paper mache! Cheesy

I finally used up a few yards of fleece that I bought for a baby blanket.

Love those round scrappy coasters!

k-star--my hubby wears those--doo-rags, we call them...I bought him a few at the Harley Davidson store but they were expensive!  I took an old one of his and made a pattern...he likes them because they soak up sweat from his head and protects it as well and is not too hot...they were meant to be worn under motorcycle helmets, so I bet they work well under welding helmets as well!

that1girl--love the hat!  Also, such cute hearts!  They would be lovely strung on a ribbon as well!
