ha ha mink...I am not missing that row house, but they certainly made for getting to know your neighbors! We actually shared a bathroom with ours, which is really bizarre...there were two doors, one into each unit...if someone forgot to lock or unlock the doors, it was hell!

I hope my partner received today...I can't comment on the tea house much because it would spoil her surprise house...I think mink and I shared the same brain waves on this swap Wink

Silvermoon--we have our own quirky sayings that are tough to keep up with!  I have to consult the Urban Dictionary many times with all of these young people speaking "american"--ha ha  I am sure.  I am sure I have set off giggles more than once in this forum...

Phizzychick keeps us mods informed of British terms...I have to remember not to ever say "f*nny"... Cheesy

Kookla--I think a FIGJAM t-shirt would be awesome...so many people would be clueless but you can smile knowing what it means! Cheesy

ha ha I have a lot of Aussie friends...I tend to forget certain sayings unless I am around them...

We love our international members...they have expanded my world, for sure!

I have been staring at my textured background for a week...going back and forth on what to do with it...I think I just need to stay up one night with lots of coffee and Doritos...inspiration comes to me with that combo...Cheesy

Looks fresh and more stylish!

What a lovely job you did...great find--especially the pintucks in front!

The color you used makes it new and yet retains the vintage feel...love it!
14150  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: weight on: September 05, 2012 07:18:59 AM
I agree--the larger sizes are much more manageable!

I would use nylon to hold the weights then cover with fabric...the nylon is very strong...I made scuba weights using lead shot since it is heavy and you don't need a lot...you need to protect yourself with the lead shot by wearing a mask and gloves...steel shot is not as heavy but probably safer...

You could also try fishing weights...they are cheap and come in lead free...and lots of sizes!

What an interest way to use your crafting talents!
